  1. seen this going round facebook, i just put the phone down or leave the calls on but go elsewhere. i wont say yes and i wont call back.
  2. i am glad england won, winning ugly is a thing but there was promising spells. slovakia did well to score, england should have defended better but i dont want to sound like i am dismissing their performance. it was spirited and strong in spells. phil foden was offside but the goal gave england something to believe in. i think the changes should have come earlier but some are complaining they were the wrong players. if they were, england would not have won or scored. two assists from subs!
  3. his message means a lot to see, i wish him the best as he moves on and finds a new club but its nice to see his sentiments to notts. i am glad hes leaving with fond memories and holding the club with high regards.
  4. a lot is riding on this game, its important england start off brightly and i hope it happens. i think people calling phil foden being selected is a joke. we need his spark and getting that out of him could change the outcome. i think the game will be a nervous 2-1 win to england. kane and palmer to score.
  5. i have seen a lot of changes to clifton, a lot of things which has actually improved the area and made it feel more closer to nottingham itself.
  6. its sad to see him choose germany over england, he could be such a special talent for us but he is doing exactly that for germany. i think there is a lot of competition right now for the england squad, germany might be the easier choice to get him selected. i am not saying they are a bad team, but the class has been fading. with him they look brighter.
  7. i do think its for the best, we need cleaner energy and relying on coal is not the best thing to do. we need to invest more in greener energy, so that the prices of electricity can come down. the cost of living wont be resolved without action.
  8. after this discussion, none of this will ever be repeated. ????
  9. things happen so fast in football but connell rawlinsons journey with us is nothing short of amazing, he has played such a big role in helping notts come back from what was a dark period for us. from having players with little connection to the fans, to what we have now. rawlo is just like any player, mistakes can happen but all the good things he did out shines those. i am sad to see him leave but its the right decision. i hope he finds a club where his experience will further help them.
  10. connell rawlinson has been a great servant for notts, hes bled our colours and tried his hardest to help get the club back to where it belongs. i am thankful he managed to see us back to the football league, his arrival in the first season in the national league was a mixed time for us. i am glad we have witnessed it improve together.
  11. im hoping that the bid gets rejected and notts does not give the story any explanation, as this would send a strong message to clubs. by acknowledging it, i think it might tempt other offers, especially if clubs have a rough idea how much millwall actually bidded. i am seeing people quoting 400k on facebook, all the reports i have read either dont mention it or say its £2million.
  12. oh wow, this is fascinating! how long until some of this details inspires hollywood to make a money. it explains how queen elizbeth knew so much.
  13. jude bellingham looks like a great player with no end of potenial but the last two games he has been virtually invisible. players like him need to be game chargers, have that spark that makes things happen. we have a talented squad and some of the best players in the world but that does not mean they will be great when playing together.
  14. i never knew either of these, i dont think history is taught very well. you learn about the things that sort of brainwashes you. such as world war 1 and 2, the kings and queens of england, the american cival war.
  15. gareth southgate will be aware of comments, i am sure he will be trying to avoid them but its impossible. football does not treat people very kindly when it turns ugly, nobody can say he does not try and just be things are different under him. the performance have not been great. the personal attacks, the verbal abuse and idiot behaviour towards him is unacceptable. criticism is fair, but the other side is not that. england wont sack a manager mid way through the tournament. similar to when things turn ugly at notts, all it does is add pressure and makes worse. its very ugly and whilst i think fans should be able to express themselves, they should show a bit more support at times.
  16. i think the referee seen it has two players coming together, armstrong does have a hold of the player but he also puts his left knee/foot out in an aggerated way that makes me think he knew he would be brought down. i am not sure its a penalty, because what can the defender do? hes not going to magically stop running. the slow down really does show the defender made no intention to bring him down, it was forced due to movement. armstrong may have done better to naturally shield the ball and remove his arms from the defender, as he could have got a shot away or made the defender react in a way that was to bring him down. not two players coming together because one saw the opportunity to come together.
  17. i noticed that @ARLukomski tweeted this, its a shame but we did a similar thing by gutting our promotion winning team and its not always the best idea. obviously teams are coming in for the crawley players, but its going to be hard for them to stay up in league one imo. i really think they will struggle and its a shame because they had done so well together.
  18. austira has earned my support with how they have played, they look very good. obviously, i want england to do better but they are my underdog team who i hope can continue to do well.
  19. i am hoping to go support them when i can next season, i probably wont be able to do a lot of games but i want to try to get behind them when i can. i think if more notts fans did, it would give them a lift.
  20. kevin nolan had it in for jonathan forte, it was a silly decision because when he played he scored. i totally agree with you @Wheelbarrow repair man, yes he suffered a serious injury and has retired. he now runs a football school and coaches young players.
  21. tomorrow i have no idea, i have been hoping to get back on my bike and go out on it. its been a bit too warm for that, though it would be nice to explore some of the parks in and around nottingham playing pokemon go. sunday, i have to fetch my mums shopping and take my aunt to derby, so that she can go to this event thing.
  22. i think macaulay langstaff is happy here at meadow lane, i am a little concerned that we might let him go but i trust the club. its a difficult situation, either take a good lump sum or retain a player who could fire us out of league two.
  23. i would rather see someone else young enough to come in if we are looking for someone who is right footed, personally i just dont see how his time at gateshead has made him ready for what we need.
  24. the spammers that came with him was very annoying, elements was funny but it overtook everything. then the bad press twist from blocking hungerians from using the official notts facebook page. he was a good player, needed longer to settle. i wish him well with his career.
  25. i loved his effort and goals that he scored, him and kristian dennis was such a promising strike force. i agree, with @Chris playing him out wide made no sense. neither did not playing jonathan forte or kristian dennis. in favour of aging players.
