Notts betting odds outside automatic promotion
i can see the odds quickly changing so there is a good opportunity to make some good money if you dont mind betting on notts. personally i do not because it seems to be a jinx.

Matt Palmer Interview & Catch up.
matt palmer is a workhorse in midfield and goes about his role quietly but efficiently. he was a big miss last season, the best thing we can do is make sure hes 100% and ready to come back to the starting lineup, hes that important to avoid any set backs. much like when cedwyn scott returned.

Fixtures published at 0900h
there is going to be quite a few changes, i want to wait to see what is updated but i will back on the road home and away supporting notts.

thoughts on how the notts team is developing?
the squad info i put on the first post has been updated with the arrivals of rod mcdonald and curtis edwards. we still have three transfer listed players, which if/when they go it would potentially open 3 more places. the squad shape is good. i dont think we need another keeper. i think a right footed cb would be a good idea. along with another midfielder who can play wide.

Pride of Nottingham: Update June 2024
i am not only excited about the season ahead for us, but everything that is happening on pon. we have a great community, with many regular posters and general members who make it such a fun site to be a part of. @Chris its great to have you back, your passion and love for the club is shinning. i am looking forward to reading more fan written articles, those always are of quality. @TheSkipper, @Simon Clark are excellent writers. not just then but everyone who has contributed to date.

Notts County Bolsters Midfield with Curtis Edwards on Two-Year Deal
this is a nice surprise for a signing, someone vastly different but also experienced and that will make the opposition teams we face unsure about curtis edwards. plus he may bring in a different approach or style to his game, which will be a blessing because usually we have players who are very similar. i am delighted with this arrival.

Chesterfield going to Spain pre season but to play no friendlies
chesterfield are a weird club, they probably will have it as part of his signing on fee. one free holiday to spain...

Where are they now : Matty Virtue
i did not rate him, i thought he looked lost on the pitch and never really did much with his time i felt frustrated because we could have given the game time to someone else who might have been productive. i hope hes improved a lot since his days here.

Defender Rod McDonald Joins Notts
he looks to be a great signing with a lot of experience and right characteristics which makes him very important for pushing for promotion. i think the media team might be over doing it a little, but no doubts its a great signing and i understand that they are after people to buy season tickets/excite us fans. i already am excited about the new season!

San Sirrel's pitch looking fab
it makes me even more prouder to be a notts fan, its truly stunning and all the work that has gone into it, i very much appreciate it.

Rod McDonald Eager to Reunite with Former Teammates at Notts County
cedwyn scott and jodi jones should be able to help rod mcdonald settle at notts, he sounds like hes ready to get going and i think its a very good signing. the height in the defence now, should be we are better at dealing with set pieces and the aerial threats.

England vs Slovakia
i must admit i less bothered about watching england than notts, but i do like watching important games and i am hopeful they can put together a good performance. i will be watching.
-
Where are they now : Adam Campbell
good player, decent turn of skill and pace. i prefer him as a striker than midfield but he has done well since leaving us.

Lack of movement on Notts's transfer listed
the club are probably trying to work on this, but i can see one or two going out on loan. randall and rawlinson, but i think we will be stuck with stone. they all need to be playing, rawlinson has done his job and will be remembered for all his efforts.

England v Slovenia, Pre & post Match Analysis.
i dont like how we seem to be pinning our hopes on luke shaw, i think its good that he was able to train but throwing him in at this stage it does seem to be rushing things. i think england will do better, but i dont expect a full 90 minutes of great play. 2-0 would be my prediction. i can see an own goal happening too, but fingers crossed england do a well enough job that things do start to improve.

Joe Kinnear's daughter says heading contributed to his death
i think its just awful that dementia is still not fully understood but at least some changes have been made. i would not be surprised that it can lead or increase the chances of various dementia illnesses. i do agree with @Chris, suing over it is not right and i would think it can take away from a persons legacy due to the way things can take over. its just very, very sad.

American Pie
last time i messaged him, he mentioned that he wanted to visit his family in the uk and visit other places. he might be making the most of his retirement and health issues by taking this chance whilst he can. at least i hope so.

Notts County Secure Defensive Reinforcement with Rod McDonald Signing
he looks handy and tall, which should help with the aerial threats. i am pleased to see we have brought in some experience at the back because it should help the defence out.
-
Stuart Maynard catch up
agreed @ARLukomski. he looked extremely worried for a long spell last season, like he was under pressure and whilst some fans were trying their hardest to get him sacked. i think the club did well to give him the time to learn, i think we should see improvements. its easier to make the right decisions when you are calm, where as panicking gets you nowhere.

Does the England Team Have Tactical Issues?
i think we all know how we would like england to play and the squad are capable, they just need to put the effort in and manage the game better. watching england has been a lot like watching notts in the spells last season when we lack energy going forward. the lack of quality and creativity is surprising.

A Faux Pas By The Nest?
its good the club are trying different things but i hope they still offer things which are to the fussy people like myself. all this fancy food at football sort of annoys me more than seeing hipster notts fans.

Hello Up the Maggies
hello, @Up the Maggies. welcome to pon!
-
Would you welcome back, Tom Crawford?
@Fan of Big Tone he had spells when he would come on and get chances away, there was a few games after he scored where he was class. i would welcome him back. i was disappointed we let him go because his potential seemed good. i would welcome him back, but i think the club may be looking elsewhere.

Meadow Lane Revamped: Notts County Unveils Premier League-Standard Pitch
honestly, we are very lucky right now. we have great owners, the club is ran well with passionate staff and we have one of the best groundstaffs in the football league. they have done an amazing job, they do every season but this is just extra special.

Julian Larsson joins Burton Albion
i have never heard of him but reading his wiki, hes 23 and does not have many starts to his name. hes certainly an unknown to me, but i do wish burton well. forests academy is pretty decent, so i am sure he will be capable.
