I couldn't agree more with the assessment of the current squad. The players mentioned have all played a crucial role in the team's success this season, and it would be great to see them continue to improve and develop under Luke Williams' management. However, I have to agree that the defence is a weak point in the team, and it's something that needs to be addressed if we are to be competitive in the league above or again within the National League. While Kyle Cameron and Aden Baldwin have both had their moments, they've also made too many mistakes at times that have led to conceding goals. Notts County needs to look at bringing in a central defender who is reliable, consistent and can form a strong partnership with Connell Rawlinson at the back. One suggestion could be to bring in a defender with experience from a higher level who can help to guide and mentor the current crop of defenders. This could also help to raise the standard of defending across the entire team. With the attacking talent we have, we're always going to score goals, but we need to make sure that we're not conceding as many at the other end. If Notts County can strengthen the defence and maintain the attacking prowess that we've shown this season, then there's no reason why we can't be successful in the league above.

Castro’s free kick was a game-changer. From the moment the ball left his foot and soared into the back of the net, it was clear that this was the winning moment. The skill and precision of that shot were truly impressive.

The Wrexham game was definitely a standout match. The atmosphere was electric, and you could feel the energy from both the home and away fans. Even though there were some nerves among the Notts fans in the away end, everyone did their part in cheering on and encouraging the team. I have also cast my vote for Ruben Rodrigues as the Pride of Nottingham Player of the Season. He has been nothing short of incredible this year, consistently delivering outstanding performances on the field. His exceptional skill and unwavering dedication have truly made a difference for our team, inspiring both his teammates and fans alike. It’s been a joy to watch him play, and I believe he truly deserves this recognition.

There are several members who have been key contributors to the Pride of Nottingham forum, with many others providing good, healthy responses. It was a difficult decision, but I have cast my vote for the member who I believe most deserves the title of Member of the Year.

I would like to see Barnet face Chesterfield because I believe they have a good chance of winning. It would be great if Woking could finish in 3rd place, but I’m not sure if they will. As for my team, I hope we get Boreham Wood. I think they would have a hard time playing against us at Meadow Lane. With the KOP and our vocal support, it can really boost our players while making it difficult for the opposition.

It's a step in the right direction. We just need to confirm the status of a few other players whose contracts are expiring. I'm glad to hear that Adam Chicksen enjoys working with Luke Williams and some of the other players. He's a valuable member of the squad and can be great on his day.

It’s definitely a boost for Notts County going into the final home game of the season. While there’s hope that other players like Ruben Rodrigues will extend their contracts, it’s great to see that the club has agreed on a 2-year deal with Adam Chicksen. This season, both Wrexham and Notts have proven to be too strong for the league. Wrexham deserves recognition for securing the National League title by defeating us and later cementing their victory with a 3-1 win over Boreham Wood. Under the Hollywood dream, they have successfully transitioned and distinguished themselves from other clubs like Salford, who appear to believe they are entitled to more success than they have earned. Wrexham’s success is a result of their hard work and determination.

If I had to take a guess, my first thought would be Darren Ward.

The players put on an impressive performance to secure a 5-2 victory over Maidstone United. Goalkeeper Archie Mair was in top form, making some crucial saves to keep Maidstone at bay. Jim O’Brien was also excellent, controlling the midfield and creating chances for his teammates. One of the highlights of the game was when Ruben Rodrigues stepped aside to allow O’Brien to take a penalty and complete his hat trick. It was a great display of sportsmanship and team spirit. The entire squad is really coming together and playing some fantastic football. This win is a testament to their hard work and determination. Well done Notts!

Macaulay Langstaff, Cedwyn Scott, Sam Austin and John Bostock have all been excellent signings for Notts County, following the pattern of recruiting strong. Gateshead wouldn’t want to lose Langstaff and Scott, so that was a master-stroke by Notts. Sam Austin was the captain of his previous club and was settled there, but he has made the move up superbly. John Bostock is better than this level and is a massive coup for the club. He’s also a really nice guy! Even the loan signings have been a lot better than previous methods. Jodi Jones being settled here with his contract expiring would be an awesome addition. All in all, great work by Notts County!

I really liked Drissa Traore when he was at Notts County. He was a classy player who could dribble, pass and shoot. Due to a string of injuries and lack of recognition from the manager, Drissa was unable to showcase his abilities. But I could see he had a spark in him that made him stand out. He was too good for the lower leagues, and I'm glad he moved on to bigger and better things. He did great at Forest Green Rovers and Swindon Town, where he helped them get promoted. He was a joy to watch.

It was an incredible honour to see Notts County play in such a prestigious venue and witness the mutual respect and friendship between the two clubs. Of course, Notts County's history is not all glory and glamour. The club has also faced many challenges and hardships over the years, such as relegations, financial troubles, and managerial changes. However, these downs have only made me more determined to support Notts County and to hope for better days ahead. I believe that Notts County has a resilient spirit and a loyal fan base that will help it overcome any obstacle. I believe that Notts County has a promising future with a dedicated new owner investing in the club to revive its history and reputation as one of the oldest and most prestigious clubs globally. Notts County is more than just a football club to me. It is a part of my identity, my heritage, and my passion. I am proud to be a part of its distinctive and rich history, and I look forward to being a part of its future.

Well, it's time to address the trickier point - the final two games. With Notts having secured second place, I don't think the pressure is really on us. However, we have Luke Williams, who seems to have much higher standards when it comes to games that we could be using as practice for the playoffs. I don't know much about Maidstone United, but I believe we have struggled against them previously when Notts first played in the National League. As for the players, Aden Baldwin, Sam Austin, Macaulay Langstaff, and Jodi Jones are all players I feel deserve to start, and I hope Williams gives them time on the pitch. Baldwin needs to get more match minutes so that he's at his best for the final promotion run.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for the PON boss Chris; I would call him a friend. Liam is also a great person who only wants the best for his friends and is by far one of the nicest people I have met. Clifton Magpie is a pal for sure; those two lads are brilliant! We formed a friendship on Pride of Nottingham. It's something I have tried to put more effort into as I don't really know anyone else, but I miss Granny Pie, who on occasions asked me about my life and how I was doing at university. I would say both GP and Super are people who express friendship without really knowing me as they should. I am trying to make amends for that now with Super. As I say, I am trying to be more community-focused and will at times send a message to a member's profile just to say hello.

I can relate to the team's previous issues, such as failing to win against "bogey" clubs and struggling to win on away games. However, this season seems to be different, with the team winning against those clubs and performing well on away days. Despite a few setbacks, the team's success has exceeded pre-season expectations and given us a chance to win the league.
