I know we all love to hate the Stags but let’s be magnanimous and congratulate them on their well deserved promotion. Nigel Clough has managed them well, slow but steady progress over the years, buying decent players, they deserve their promotion so well done.

Gateshead have failed eligibility to play in the EFL and have been booted out the playoffs against Solihull. Solihull will get a bye to the semi final. This is also hard on Aldershot who came eighth but can't replace Gateshead. The authorities waited right till the end of the regular season to make this decision when they knew Gateshead were ineligible. Another stinking decision by the football authorities.

Swansea were well beaten at home by Southampton yesterday although watching the highlights they had some good chances, Williams said after the match it will take time to get their ideas across. I wonder how patient the Swansea fans are?
