SCMP (salary cost management protocol) limits spending on player wages to a percentage of club Turnover. Initially introduced during the 2011/12 campaign, SCMP was put in place to ensure teams in League One and League Two operate within their financial means. In League 1 clubs can spend a maximum of 60% of their turnover on wages. Clubs relegated from the Championship into League One are permitted to spend an extra 15 per cent of their turnover on wages for their first season in the division, taking their threshold to 75 per cent. Most on here support Notts of course but does anyone admit to having a soft spot for another team whose results they look out for. I used to work with a Derby County supporter whose second team was Reading, when I asked him why he said it started when he was a young boy and his favourite subject at school was reading. I don’t really have a second team as such although I do look at the scores of other local teams especially Derby to see what mood @super_ram will be in.

https://www.fulhamfc.com/news/2023/july/26/Mullins-Appointed-U21-Head-Coach/ The last I recall off the top of my head, is Haydn Mullns temporarily being interim manager of Watford. I think he also had some involvement with West Ham as a coach after, but his wiki doesn't clarify that. He was indeed head coach of Colchester United under Steve Ball. Who knew? I didn't. Also, he seems to have managed "Turks and Caicos Islands", I don't recall hearing of them before.

  15. Started by Robbie,

Looks like Chesterfield are on course to break all records in the National League. Of course, the competition is weaker this season, but even so, to break the points record, Win record and Goals Scored record would be great achievement for them. I think it makes Notts' win at Wembley over Chesterfield even more better.

Mansfield have lost to Crewe today 0:1 at home, have now lost two games in the league this season. Barrow win. Notts are still in touch with the leaders after today's games 9 points behind top spot.
