I know that Blackpool can hardly buy a win at the moment, but this really was a case of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. 2-0 up at half time and having to just shut up shop. It must have been something in the tea, or perhaps they were abducted by aliens and replaced. Whatever it was you have to give some credit to the management at Watford for an inspiring team talk, whilst the same cannot be said in the other changing room. Second half saw Watford score 7 (seven, where is Len Goodman when you need him) all without reply. Now that is a mega collapse. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30860531 good job @weymouthPIE hadn't chosen this, nobody would ha…

One Club man... Matthew Le Tissier, here described as an Idol, the last of his kind, Mercurial...... http://babb.telegraph.co.uk/2015/01/matt-le-tissier-the-last-footballer-of-his-kind/ Another player you couldn't help but admire, oh he had his chances, bigger clubs came calling, is it any wonder he is an absolute Icon and hero to the supporters of Southampton FC? I only saw him once, and Xavi was right, he could run but half job with the ball no more than about a foot from his boot through as many as he wanted, people rave about that Maradona goal against England, but Le Tiss did this week in week out... He really was Super talented IMO Your thoughts? Was he right…

As the title says, it seems Eric was either a love him or loathe him (jealous more like) footballer. Such talent, but occasionally flawed, well aren't they all... Best, Gasgoine, add Cantona! The following is an article into the incident at Selhurst Park, Yes that one! For those who don't know what we are on about, Eric did a flying Kung Fu kick over the railings at an abusive spectator and all hell broke loose. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30916435 I remember the transfer out of Leeds to, and I had heard rumours out of Yorkshire, that was ALLEGEDLY down to some dalliance with Lesley Ash, wife of fellow strike partner Lee Chapman. It all happened very quickly …

Yes, you read that right, LVG has inspired United to amass the same amount of premier league points as predecessor David Moyes, so why hasn't he been slated to the same level questions this article..... http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2015/01/12/7884182/van-gaals-manchester-united-are-no-better-than-under-moyes?ICID=HP_PN_6

Ok, so ignoring the potential loophole part of this first article, we all know that Man City have fallen foul of the FFFP rules... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-city/11346783/Frank-Lampards-controversial-move-to-Manchester-City-exposes-a-potential-FFP-loophole.html Ok, so now is there a loophole or not? Is that deal dodgier than a 9 bob note? Have Man City suddenly had an absolutely mega cash injection? Does this reporter have any sort of understanding of the clubs current situation? http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892/transfer-zone/2015/01/14/7951492/pellegrini-manchester-city-links-with-messi-are-normal?ICID=HP_TS_5

Hopefully the headlines will ring positive news for @super_ram but I do hope whatever the outcome Stuart Peace remains in charge, he's no more to blame for the situation than some of the players are. A Notts fan mentioned on Twitter he'll be making his way down from London and aims to catch the Derby v Forest game. I hope he's right about Derby thrashing them, it will either be that or Forests comeback but I am hopeful they will lose. I wonder what my oak @jsrjay will think about watching a real team for once? Joking mate. Derby!! Derby!!

With a family run firm, over a compulsory purchase order, which would see the club redevelop White Hart Lane. This article could be read in a way that suggests supporters of the club have already, tried to enforce the move for Archway Sheet Metal Works. The company has, as is reported received bomb threats, and had their premises gutted by a "mystery fire" in November... http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/jan/15/tottenham-hotspur-high-court-stadium

Ched Evans: Sheffield United allow convicted rapist to train at club Sheffield United will allow convicted rapist Ched Evans to train with them following their former player's release from prison, the BBC has learned. The 25-year-old was freed last month after serving half of a five-year sentence for raping a 19 year-old woman in a hotel room in 2011. There has been controversy over whether he should resume his football career. The League One club continues to deliberate on any long-term decision about the Wales international. He will train with the club for the first time since his release later this week, a move that will be seen by many as the first step tow…

Locally this has to be up there as the standout tie in the fourth round of the FA cup. Having seen off Scunthorpe, Chesterfield now look to do a Ram-raid on neighbours and championship high fliers Derby County. The tie gives Paul Cook the chance to put one over on ex England manager and honorary cloggy Scchteve McLaren. @super_ram surely being the cup, and a local derby, this is the worst kind of banana skin.....

Interesting game happening right now, Coventry City vs Swindon Town. If Swindon win they go back to the top of the league, which would be smashing for them and our very own PoN resident. @medievalmickey I see your beating Coventry 2-0 at the moment. Double goals by Williams!! Hattrick? Let's hope so.

I've just been reading another site where by a fan says; "Everyone seems to be sucking up to him, but he basically is leaving because he wouldnt be first pick anymore, but he would have done them the favour of signing up for a few more million quid had they asked in the summer, when he thought he would still get to play whenever he wanted." Supposedly he has a ego, although I can relate to the real reasons he's leaving or at least it's how I see it. You may feel differently? He's leaving because he knows his best playing days are behind him, he retired from international duty when he still is one of our better players to focus on his league career. This suggest to me a…

@Blackville and I are going tonight. He's not been to Pride Park before. I can remember going to this game in 1975 with a Leeds supporting friend, standing in the pop side. Two very good, but dirty teams, lots of fights, sendings off, great goals, diving (Charlie George, Peter Lorimer, Francis Lee - nothing's new in this game), dreadful pitch, over-full ground, dreadful paper programme, great atmosphere. All in all - proper football!!

Wish him all the best at Christmas. A solid player, but also an outstanding guy who stood up for his beliefs in his role as PFA chairman. Lets hope the injuries stay as non-life threatening. Airlifted to Leeds instead of Nottingham though? Clarke Carlisle in hospital after serious road accident Former Professional Footballers' Association chairman Clarke Carlisle is in hospital after being involved in a serious road accident on Monday. The ex-Burnley defender, 35, was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary. The cause of the accident is unknown, although the BBC understands his injuries are not life threatening.
