  1. Really looking forward to seeing how Crowley performs against Morecambe. He’s been in brilliant form, pulling the strings in midfield, so his battle with Songo’o should be a good one. Morecambe’s winless streak makes me think we should win comfortably, but football’s never that simple, is it? They’ll be desperate for a result, so we need to avoid any sloppy mistakes and stay sharp from the start. A fast goal could really settle things in our favour.
  2. Middlesbrough 3-2 Stoke City Joker Millwall 0-1 Preston North End Blackpool 4-1 Burton Albion Wigan Athletic 3-1 Exeter City Gillingham 0-0 Barrow Newport County 1-3 Crewe Alexandra Woking 2-1 Sutton United Yeovil Town 1-0 Aldershot
  3. What stands out most about Jacob Bedeau is his humble approach to both his past and present clubs. His reflections on Morecambe highlight the importance of player development and the value of gaining experience at different levels. His seamless transition to Notts County indicates not just his skill but also his adaptability. With the way he has gelled with the team, particularly in defence, it’s clear we have a solid player on our hands. Jacob’s optimism about our promotion push is exactly what fans want to hear. This weekend’s match against Morecambe will be a test, but with Jacob at the back, I’m confident we can secure a win.
  4. It doesn’t sound good if they don’t know how much they can spend on players. Their owners made a mistake, which led to the embargo. It seems like they are in crisis. I wonder if life in League One stretched their limits? It’s not good for them.
  5. I wish Jodi Jones all the best. I don’t want to speculate on his injury as I’m worried it could be serious. I’ll wait for the news to be shared, then come back to share my thoughts. It didn’t look good at all.
  6. It’s great to see the community voting for the Man of the Match on PON. It’s been years since I last remember a player being named. It’s good to see it back!
  7. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Shannon Daly, PON is a good site.
  8. Lovely photo gallery! It can't be easy putting this together after a defeat and with frustrating officials, but credit for the fantastic fan gallery.
  9. We played some of our best football today but just couldn't break Gillingham down. I think the first half was as good as we’ve seen all season, and if we’d taken one of those chances, it would’ve been a different story. The disallowed goal and penalty shout were tough to take, and I can understand Maynard’s frustration. It didn’t feel like we had much luck, but the effort and quality were definitely there. Injuries to key players didn’t help either, but we’ve got the squad to cope. It’s just one game, and we’re still in a strong position. The team’s mentality is strong, and I’m sure we’ll come back stronger in the next match.
  10. The game was a display of two evenly matched teams, both of which have good defences. I thought the Gillingham keeper made two very good saves, but the open goal miss should have been taken, and the offside, I do think, is the incorrect call. There’s talk of Jevani Brown being offside, but he looks on to me when I watch it.
  11. What I love most about Dan Crowley is his understanding of how important it is to stay humble and grounded. He’s not just focused on his personal stats but the team’s overall performance. His perspective on home and away games really stands out too. He knows we’re solid at Meadow Lane but is aware that picking up points away is crucial. I’m excited about today’s match against Gillingham, and Stuart Maynard’s pre-match thoughts make me feel like the team is in a great mindset. We’re looking strong, but as Crowley says, let’s take it one game at a time!
  12. Luton Town 1-2 Sheffield Wednesday ????Joker Sheffield United 2-3 Derby County Bolton Wanderers 2-0 Reading Peterborough United 3-3 Bristol Rovers Bradford City 1-1 AFC Wimbledon Salford City 2-3 Walsall Hartlepool United 2-1 Dagenham & Redbridge Oldham Athletic 1-1 Yeovil Town
  13. Good luck to him. MK Dons might not find form so easily under a new manager. I wonder if they will go for someone who has been there before? I hope they don’t pick up.
  14. I know both teams have changed a lot since Gillingham last played at Meadow Lane, but I thought they gave us a good game. It was a hard-fought 2-1 win, which is how I think tomorrow will go. It doesn’t really matter who scores, but the win and maintaining that undefeated record is important. Gillingham will find us as tough as we find them, so it should be lively and a good game overall.
  15. Not likely within the next 3-5 years. It will take an exceptional talent, and Macaulay Langstaff is the first player I honestly believe could beat it. You don’t find strikers of his quality that often at this level, so I think Les Bradd’s record is safe for a while longer.
  16. I have driven up to be closer to Nottingham, so I don’t have to leave early in the morning to make the game. It also gives me a chance to have a couple of pints, since I won’t be driving. It’s a bit dull in Nottingham; it was much brighter where I came from. I must remember to join in with the weekly chats from time to time. I hope everyone is well.
  17. Crowley's dedication to Notts is genuinely refreshing. His contribution both on and off the pitch this season has been monumental. Scoring three goals and assisting four in just six appearances speaks volumes about his skill and commitment. It's clear he has immense respect for the club and the fans, and it’s evident in every match. The way he talks about the team's cohesion and their grounded nature despite leading the table is admirable. It's players like Crowley who can steer us to success.
  18. I have no doubt Jimmy could have been a successful league manager in his time. He might even have been able to get an underdog team into the Premier League, but I think his most success would come within the EFL. He knew how to get players performing and was a strong speaker who had high expectations. He wouldn’t settle for anything less than commitment from his players. This makes me think he would be successful to a degree.
  19. Absolutely delighted to see our allocation sold out so quickly for the Chesterfield clash. It just goes to show the great support of our fanbase. Reflecting on the Wembley final, it was a rollercoaster of emotions. The moment we won on penalties was sheer joy. This upcoming match is more than just three points; it's about measuring how far we’ve come since that historic day. Chesterfield is no easy opponent, but I believe in our team's grit and determination. Really looking forward to the atmosphere and hoping for a great game. As always, UP THE NOTTS!
  20. He’s been a key player, and Notts did well to recruit Curtis Edwards. His injury is a bit of a blow. I hope he recovers well. We need to avoid further injuries, as we can afford to give Edwards time to recover, but it does add to concerns about the players we have out.
  21. This upcoming game against Gillingham is shaping up to be a real test for us. Their fans seem confident in their team's resilience, particularly noting the tactical abilities of Mark Bonner. It's evident they have a lot of respect for their defensive lineup, which means we need to be sharp and aggressive going forward. Our recent form has been commendable with key players like Dan Crowley and Jodi Jones shining, but we will need every ounce of determination and skill to take on a team that is flying high in confidence. A focused and strategic approach from our side might just tip the scales in our favour.
  22. I really enjoyed “Goldfinger” and Sean Connery as James Bond. I’m not as much of a fan of Daniel Craig. I preferred Pierce Brosnan in the role. Roger Moore was also a good James Bond.
  23. Notts County have had many greats over the years. Dixie Dean is no different. He is a good part of the club’s history. It is great to be associated with such good players.
  24. Our main focus must be on the league. I’m pleased to see that we are undefeated and that Stuart Maynard has made sure the players understand how important this is. We have a lot of quality in the team, with squad players who all offer something different but together make us a tough side. I hope our form continues, with the players really trying to protect this record.
  25. I have watched all three versions of the highlights on the Notts official site, and I am impressed by just how well we played after going 2-0 down. Some teams surrender or start arguing, but Notts just got on with it and proved that we can do well even if setbacks happen. I praise the whole squad, but it is good to see Stuart Maynard gaining praise.
