  1. Great photo of the former Notts pair. It’s good to see them side by side even if they are contracted to other teams. John Bostock was solid early on in his spell, and it was curious how we would replace him or handle his absence, but it looks like the right call.
  2. Well done, pleased they beat Mansfield 6-0. They should be pleased with that!
  3. Morecambe might continue to struggle, but I think they are good enough to navigate themselves away from any trouble. It could be a more difficult season, but I do hope they manage to stay up. I have always enjoyed my trips to their ground.
  4. Happy Birthday, @CliftonMagpie! Did you do anything nice or receive any cool gifts? Enjoy your day.
  5. Stall’s praise for Jones and Crowley is thoroughly deserved. Watching them orchestrate the dramatic turnaround against Bromley was a testament to their class. Jones’ brace showcased his killer instinct, while Crowley’s composure in crucial moments made all the difference. Their partnership on the pitch seems almost telepathic at times. This dynamic duo is crucial for Notts County’s success. It’s impressive to see how they lift the team’s overall performance, ensuring we always have a fighting chance, even when the odds are against us. Keeping this momentum and not getting complacent will be key as we aim for promotion.
  6. Jones extending his contract is wonderful news for all Notts fans. His connection with the club is more than just professional, it’s emotional. From his words, you can tell how much the support of the fans means to him, and this relationship certainly boosts his performance. His humility, despite winning individual awards, is commendable. The team-first mentality he displays by preferring assists over goals is rare and deeply appreciated in today's game. His time under Stuart Maynard has been transformative, and extending his stay at Meadow Lane till 2027 shows he believes in the vision for the club's future.
  7. This victory is a testament to the fighting spirit within the Notts squad. Coming from two goals down and securing a 4-2 win is no mean feat. The conditions weren’t ideal, as Maynard mentioned, but the team adapted brilliantly. Respect to Jodi Jones for his crucial goals, especially the penalty. Dan Crowley was also excellent, contributing with a significant goal. Our defence, led by Matty Platt, stood firm when it really mattered. A thoroughly deserved win and a perfect way to stay top of the table. Onwards and upwards!
  8. Exciting times for Notts County with Jodi Jones aiming for more goals and a promotion! His ability to play both wings highlights his versatility, but it's great to hear he’s eager to return to his natural position on the right. Adding more goals to his game while continuing to set up his teammates will make him an even bigger threat. The key will be maintaining consistency, as he rightly points out. Teams that stay strong throughout the season are the ones that go up. His focus and determination are what we need, especially with the new quality additions to the squad. Here’s to a successful season filled with goals and wins.

  10. It's just excellent! There’s something truly special about being part of the Notts County family. The blend of old-school charm and new ideas at Meadow Lane creates a unique atmosphere that’s hard to find elsewhere. The stewards are friendly, and the fans genuinely care about each other. I remember my first game; I felt welcomed right away. It’s a place where generations come together, sharing stories and cheers. The nostalgia of the terraces mixed with the modern comforts makes every matchday a memorable experience. I hope the club continues to grow and thrive while keeping that community spirit alive.
  11. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Emma Duffield.
  12. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @Alan Carnell. You might be surprised by all the messages, but this site is a very friendly place to be.
  13. The news that Jodi Jones has signed a new contract is fantastic! His 24 assists in League Two last season were nothing short of amazing and showed his exceptional form. He’s not just a playmaker but also starting to become a goal scorer, which adds another layer to our attack. Stuart Maynard's praise for his adaptability on the right wing and defensive improvements indicates how integral Jones is to our plans. Matches like the one against Swindon highlight his all-around game. Keeping Jodi at Meadow Lane until 2027 ensures that our future is bright. Looking forward to many more memorable moments with him in the squad. Up the Magpies!
  14. I'm truly pleased with the summer signings, especially with the remarkable goalkeeper we’ve brought in. Their smooth integration into the team has been impressive. It's heartening to witness the squad playing with such assurance and fluidity. Our playmakers have particularly stood out, showing a great ability to bridge the gap between defence and attack. We've long needed more stability at the back, and it finally feels like we’ve found it with the new defensive options. The added depth in midfield is a much-needed boost, giving us the flexibility to keep players fresh over the course of the season.
  15. Bromley’s rise through the leagues is an admirable feat, especially considering their standing in the face of larger London clubs. Steff Bale’s comments highlight just how well-balanced the team is with a good mix of experienced players and young talent. Notts will face a tough challenge, particularly with Bromley’s high pressing and agile defence. The innovative approach of enlisting a gamer for tactical analysis speaks to how modern methods are being embraced even at smaller clubs. It will be interesting to see how Notts counter Bromley’s solid backline and make use of their attacking strengths to potentially secure a win.
  16. Even if Jodi Jones doesn’t win, being named shows how well he’s doing. Although there might be other Notts players just as deserving, Sky Sports won’t see that. They will go for the players that will get them the most attention. This isn’t a criticism of Jodi. I feel he deserves the recognition, but my point is more about if he doesn’t win. He was named, and at some stage, he should pick up more Player of the Month awards.
  17. George Abbott’s performance in his first start for Notts was nothing short of spectacular. It's always tough for young players to step up to the main squad, but Abbott handled it with grace and confidence. His ability to control the midfield and his willingness to go for those 50-50 tackles show that he's not just physically prepared but mentally ready as well. His reflections on the game, highlighting the trust and support of his teammates, speak volumes about the team's camaraderie and his potential to grow. With the crowd’s energy supporting him, it’s clear that Abbott's future at Notts County looks very promising.
  18. @Chris, the Faces of PON is fantastic! It’s such a joy to see the passion of Notts fans captured so beautifully. The recent album from the Accrington Stanley match is particularly striking, showcasing the diversity and unity within our fanbase. Your commitment to this project, despite personal hurdles, speaks volumes about your dedication. It’s not just about the photos; it’s about the memories and the strong sense of community they represent. These images remind us all of the joy and camaraderie at Meadow Lane. Thank you for your unwavering efforts and for giving us a way to cherish these memories. Keep up the amazing work.
  19. Paul Devlin was a great player. I was disappointed when Notts County let him go, but it was the right decision for Devlin. He found a home at Birmingham City, and I believe his time at Notts County gave him the confidence to further his career. It was always exciting to see his name on the teletext when he scored or when the final scores were updated.
  20. A fantastic result for Notts County, which showcased their depth and resilience. McGoldrick was the star of the show with two brilliant goals, but it was a team effort. Bass was superb in goal, making several key saves to deny Accrington. Abbott's performance in midfield was a revelation, showing great defensive skills and linking up well with the attack. The Magpies controlled possession and dictated the flow of the game, which made it difficult for Accrington to build momentum. It’s great to see the team performing so well even without some key players.
  21. Stuart Maynard seems to have built a solid squad with a mix of experienced players and promising new signings. It’s great to see that the club resisted offers for some of our key players, showing real ambition for the season. His comments about team unity and character are spot on. those elements are so important in football, especially when you’re fighting for promotion. I’m looking forward to seeing how Abbott and Brown fit in, especially if they can help us break down stubborn defences.
  22. Barnsley 1-1 Bristol Rovers Charlton Athletic 0-1 Rotherham United Cheltenham Town 2-0 Harrogate Town Colchester United 2-0 Bromley Doncaster Rovers 1-3 Gillingham Joker Braintree Town 1-1 Woking Gateshead 2-2 Barnet Hartlepool United 2-1 Halifax Town
  23. That's a good point. I agree that the club is simply informing us of their efforts, and I don't take that for granted. The club is making progress, and I'm sure that if the board thinks it's necessary, they will consider bringing in new players during the next transfer window.
  24. I hope that Notts plays a similar game to the one against Grimsby Town. A strong start, an early goal, and controlling the game would be ideal. While we might not see many goals, it would be great if Notts takes the lead early on and gains confidence throughout the match. It would also be good to see more of the players who are still settling in.
  25. It's fantastic that the club is recognising Rotherham United for starting the memory club. This shows how football can unite people.
