  1. I have seen it now. He burst onto the scene with Villa in the Premier League. I remember him more from Stoke and Liverpool, but it’s a great documentary. Sometimes, players need to push themselves a bit more, even if it’s hard. Peter Crouch has won people over with his attitude and love for football. He’s really missed in the game. I have enjoyed his World Cup shows in the past.
  2. Great job to the lads on their first pre-season friendly! A 3-0 win is nothing to sniff at. Looking forward to seeing more as the season progresses.
  3. This isn’t aimed at anyone here, but fans always say it’s about fitness. When Notts loses, or a player doesn’t perform well, or whatever else someone can find to complain about, they do. Likewise, if we win, some will expect more from the team and start moaning that if we’re not in a title race come Christmas, then we have failed. It’s just a game for Luke Williams to review things before the season starts. I’m interested, but I want fans to realise that this won’t give us any insight into how we may do in the league. Only those league games will determine that, and for once I wish people would try to sit on the fence a bit more.
  4. Stoke City has shown some real class here. Nothing but respect to them for what they’ve done.
  5. Oh boy, TikTok rips off Instagram, Meta rips off Twitter. It’s getting silly with all these social media sites popping up. I don’t think one social network should hold a monopoly on things either. Variety is always better.
  6. Best wishes to Frank Vincent. I think he’ll be a superb signing for Dagenham & Redbridge!
  7. Under Williams' guidance, the players' resilience and positive mindset are clearly shining through. Success hinges heavily on the mindset of the players and their commitment towards improvement. These insights from Williams instill a lot of confidence in the potential of the squad to deliver great performances.
  8. The club statement noting Nemane's growth as a player resonates with fans who have watched him develop his game understanding and self-belief over the course of last season.
  9. Williams's transfer market movements reflect a well-thought-out strategy: bringing in league one quality players like McGoldrick and Crowley while bidding farewell to fan-favourite Rodrigues. While the latter's departure might sting, Williams’s balanced approach and aim to drive Notts County forward is commendable.
  10. It's inspiring to read about Mick Vinter's journey and how he made a name for himself in football.
  11. Cool to know that Nigel's grandfather saw the last game at Trent Bridge and the first at Meadow Lane. It's like Notts County runs in their blood!
  12. Dan Crowley appears to be a crucial signing. I have been reading about the clubs he has been linked with and it is surprising that the rumour sites never mentioned this for us. It seems that some League One teams’ fans thought he was going to join them. I feel it is a very good signing.
  13. Dan Crowley seems like the perfect signing. He performed well at Morecambe. When he joined them, I was surprised. However, since he is from Coventry, the move made more sense due to the proximity. We have many connections to Coventry, making us quite the Coventry club.
  14. Happy birthday!!! ???????????? Enjoy your birthday and that meal, no ordering seconds! You don't want to spoil that cake @Fan of Big Tone.
  15. Good player, good servant. It’s hard to use his age as an excuse to get rid, he works so hard and still plays like a much younger experienced person. His reactions might not be as quick, but his focus and drive are things you can’t be taught.
  16. Yes, Kyle Cameron is a decent defender but a very good one at this level. Notts fans think we should have players who are all the same and we know what that is like. He’s very good at being a defender that goes forward, I am fine with him leaving Aden Baldwin back and whoever completes the back three. So, I am delighted and eager to see how he does in League Two.
  17. Wow, this makes me want to laugh and cry. Cry because it’s horrible to see a player of Cal Roberts’ quality committing himself to that level. Laugh because it makes zero sense with where they are. There’s no guarantee that they will gain promotion. He’s wasting his vital years, even with his injuries.
  18. Welcome, @rhodship66. I am glad you joined. Now to join in.
  19. Money isn’t everything, but I think there’s a trend starting where players go back to their former team as a way to maximise their playing length. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it and I think MG is doing all the right things. He’s here to help us achieve something, which he could do at Derby.
  20. I do think that with the advancements in training and physiotherapy, some players are managing to continue their careers. The point Jim makes about Connell and MG is a good one. We need experience in the right quantity and we have it now. I’m looking forward to seeing some new faces and Kyle Cameron signing on for 2 more seasons.
  21. I was told by college not to go in. I am pleased I didn’t see any of the aftermath. I know people who were in Nottingham after it had happened; they said it was awful even then. So sad.
  22. When we signed him, I didn’t expect him to be as good as he turned out to be. I didn’t think he would be another Enzio type player, but I certainly didn’t feel we would have such a classy attacking midfielder who came into his element when we were winning. I am gutted to see him leave, especially to Oxford United who aren’t a side I would imagine him playing for. He has his reasons, so good luck to him.
  23. He was a good player for Notts. His smart play and tricks will be missed, but I don’t think we will be lacking in quality. We have always seemed to improve with our new recruitment and, whilst he leaves a big gap and some hefty boots to fill, someone else will step up. Onwards to League One, the Notts go!
  24. I am hoping that all players will sign, but realistically, I believe only Kyle Cameron and Jim O’Brien will do so. Aaron Nemane and Ruben Rodrigues are both reportedly attracting serious interest from clubs that would be difficult for any League Two player to turn down.
  25. Even if Aaron Nemane were to leave, I doubt we would want to take DKE back. He is a good player who tries hard, but signing him would be a step backwards for our club.
