  1. Charlie shared an interesting story. You can tell he has experience in radio work because it shows in his writing.
  2. Yeah, he spoke highly of Notts in the article, which was quite enjoyable. McGoldrick's perspective was particularly engaging. Hopefully, he got off to a strong start, alongside our other players. It seems that this season could bring another successful campaign for Notts.
  3. Loyal fans come through family ties mostly, especially younger fans. If they make friends with people at Notts, then there is a chance it will become something embedded within them. The issue is keeping fans when we become average or poor, not that I think we will, but we have not had a real test yet since the Reedtz took us over.
  4. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, I'm a few years off my 20's but mature enough to discuss Notts sensibly. PON is a good site, just don't tread on some of the fossils and you will be fine. ????
  5. Best of luck to Ed. He performed admirably in his first season and decently thereafter. Although he was somewhat lacking in physicality, it was nothing that experience couldn’t have remedied. However, I don’t believe he progressed at the same pace as the rest of the team.
  6. They’re great photos, @Piethagoram. You don’t need a fancy phone or camera, you just need to know how to get the best photo. You have captured some wonderful images.
  7. I hope it’s true because he’s a good player. Someone who would fit in well with Notts, so fingers crossed there’s something in this one. I mean, it’s probably not but you have to hope.
  8. Good signing, Tranmere have a decent squad and hopefully he settles in with them. I like Kane Hemmings too, neither player treated Notts badly. It wasn’t their fault the players behind them couldn’t defend to save their lives.
  9. Some of the players would signal a huge amount of ambition if Notts were to try to sign any of them. Zac Williams, Di’Shon Bernard and Mamadou Jobe are all class. Signing any of these three would send a message to the league. However, I suspect League One teams would come in and turn heads.
  10. Hello, @Stuart jackson. Welcome to the PON community.
  11. While I agree it’s early, we have a better squad in my opinion than Stockport County and should do well. I think we have strong starting players across every position and just need to finalise a few of the positions left. Then I would feel much more comfortable, but whatever happens, I am excited.
  12. Great opportunity for Tiernan Brooks to represent Ireland U21 in Austria!
  13. Great news for Notts County and Tiernan Brooks as he is called up to the Ireland U21 squad!
  14. This would be an amazing coup for us. McGoldrick is still one of the best strikers in the country and he would be a huge asset for us. He has skill, pace, power and finishing ability that none of our current strikers have. He would create and score goals for fun and he would inspire our team to play better. He would also bring back some nostalgia and excitement to our fans who remember him from his first spell at Notts.
  15. This is an awesome signing. Randall is a beast who can dominate any midfield. He has strength, agility, balance and determination. He’s also a loyal and honest guy who will honour our shirt and our badge. He’s going to be an icon at Notts.
  16. I wish Joel Taylor all the best as he begins a new campaign with Chester. At this stage in his career, it would be best for him to try to settle down and play as much as possible.
  17. There are rumours circulating that Ruben is leaving Notts for Derby. Some Notts accounts have tweeted about it, but one notorious account has since deleted their tweet. It’s difficult to know what to make of these rumours. Many people seem to be talking out of where the sun doesn’t shine. We’ll have to wait for official confirmation before we know for sure.
  18. Sam Slocombe is a very good goalkeeper who suits Notts well. He works well with Tom Weal and Luke Williams and I believe he will continue to improve any issues he may have. Having Super Sam for another two years is fantastic news!
  19. Welcome! I hope you like PON, @Lydia.
  20. It’s impressive to see teams like Doncaster Rovers and Shrewsbury Town achieving promotions after their playoff successes. Their hard work and dedication paid off in the end.
  21. I know who he is, and I wouldn't fancy tangling with him! But he does seem like a right good laugh though.
  22. Cracking signing, indeed! I think he'll make quite an impact at Boston. His performances for Notts showcased his immense potential, so let's hope he can really flourish in his new surroundings. Wishing him all the best in this exciting new chapter!
  23. Good luck, Jake Reeves! I think he did a smashing job when he played for our side. It was great to see his talent and spirit on the pitch. Here's to hoping he continues to excel in his career! ????
  24. Quite the non-league wanderer, innit? Thought he'd be kickin' about at a loftier level by now.
  25. I don't fancy Stockport getting promoted; I'd rather we face them and outplay them. However, the top team will triumph at the end of the day. Best of luck to both sides.
