  1. I’m pleased it’s been sorted out. This is a great write-up, and including Luke Williams’ comments will show that it’s completely valid.
  2. People are being daft towards Ruben Rodrigues. He clearly didn’t mean it the way it’s been twisted, and much of it continues to be taken out of context. We need to remember that he’s just a footballer and isn’t used to our media. I think it’s just an innocent comment made in the heat of the moment, just like Luke Williams says. Stop worrying and just enjoy Notts, and please be nice to people.
  3. It’s quite shocking that Luke Williams was questioned about this in a press conference before the weekend’s match. East Midlands Today seemed to show him training with the team on their news segment, so it’s hard to understand why some fans still think there’s more to the story. I doubt he would have gone to Oxford and back without hinting at it in his interviews. I thought he would stay at Notts, as the stories and rumours seemed quite dodgy. I don’t believe our owners would want a manager who went for an interview elsewhere. It’s been taken out of context from what Ruben Rodrigues said and because we’re doing well. He will be linked, but it’s nothing more than that.
  4. I get that he didn’t want to carry on after having stuff thrown at him. But the way it’s being shown, it’s as if he was physically hit. In reality, it was just objects, which isn’t right, but this kind of behaviour might be usual. I reckon his choice to make a fuss and hold up the game was just him playing the victim. He should have been professional, letting the stewards and police do their work while he did his. Not doing his job is a bit daft, especially as there’s no photos or videos showing any real harm to him.
  5. If I score below 10 points, @DangerousSausage is not honouring the extra 5 points per round he promised me to make sure I take part. ???? Blackpool 1-1 Shrewsbury Town Stevenage 0-2 Lincoln City Gillingham 2-0 Salford City Joker Harrogate Town 0-1 Swindon Town Sutton United 0-1 Tranmere Rovers Dorking Wanderers 1-2 Boreham Wood Ebbsfleet United 0-0 Oxford City Rochdale 3-1 Aldershot
  6. Tommy Lawton’s transfer to Notts County highlighted the urgent need for fair wages for footballers in those times! He truly paved the way for a new era!
  7. I think Craig Short was unfortunate during his time here. Many blamed him for dismantling the team that got us promoted, but I believe those decisions were made by others before he even took the job.
  8. I also like the uniqueness of our team, but I wish we had a song to sing when the players enter the field, like many top teams do.
  9. Dan Gosling should adapt quickly to our style of play, given Bournemouth’s attacking approach in the Premier League. It might be a bit different without Matt Palmer, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Even though it’s a short-term contract, I’m trying not to get too excited.
  10. His honesty is commendable. I appreciate that he refuses to collect a wage for merely warming the bench or missing match days. It speaks volumes about his character and, in my opinion, makes him more of a true footballer because he simply doesn’t care. There’s a stark difference between being a team player who waits for their chance and someone who actively takes money for doing nothing, draining the fans and the club.
  11. If we had won, people would have hyped it up, saying we defeated a League One team. However, since we didn’t, I believe it’s a blessing in disguise. It helps us avoid the expectation of defeating every League Two team and the subsequent disappointment when we don’t, which I find quite irritating.
  12. While some supporters may focus on his age, we have ample speed and the quality he brings will be far more advantageous. I’m absolutely thrilled with this signing, even if it’s only for a month.
  13. What a fantastic acquisition! This appears to be an excellent signing, was the concern necessary? If this works out, we’ll be in a good position. I’m absolutely thrilled with the signing. Despite being 33, he brings a wealth of experience and with his role further up, he should be similar to when we signed John Bostock last season. To some extent, even David McGoldrick. It’s a valuable addition, even if it’s just for a month.
  14. It’s encouraging to see things gradually returning to normal. I wouldn’t stress about the break taken. We all need them occasionally. There’s been consistent progress, and the site does seem to load much quicker. I initially thought the new server made a substantial difference, but the optimisation has elevated things to a whole new level.
  15. Aden Baldwin’s comments on the performance are accurate, but the result is the key takeaway. The goalkeeping needs to be more assertive. Based on Aidan Stone’s performance, you wouldn’t think we were near the top of the League Two table. This time, it was him who added to Notts’ difficulties. Hopefully, he regains his confidence and starts to improve. A very good result nonetheless!
  16. Hello, @Samuel Morris. Welcome to the PON community. You should find the site to be very fun and engaging. Just jump straight in.

  19. Not much time left, let’s aim for a positive outcome but more importantly, a strong performance. I’m hoping we start with the best possible squad, including John Bostock.
  20. Italy has some outstanding players, but they’re not spread across the field and are now quite average as a nation. They’ve relied on their older and ageing players for too long, and now they’re paying the price. England looked impressive, but we usually do when it comes to qualifying.
  21. It appears fantastic, and if it was painted without stencils, it deserves even more praise. It will be a pleasure to see it as I pass by. I’m not a fan of the colour the Navi painted itself as it’s quite jarring, but this helps.
