  1. Hello, @George L. Welcome to the PON site! If you need any help, just ask a member of the team or your grandfather @Fan of Big Tone. It's brilliant to have you here.
  2. I think Alfreton should give us a better match, but even we have improved since we last played, so I’m hoping that we can work on the defensive side and our space creation, as they have a tallish squad. It should be a good friendly!
  3. I wasn’t at the match, but it seems like Boston heavily marked our players to the point where three or so of them were going in to clear the ball away from us. Domination is a good thing, even if we only won by one goal. It’s another valuable insight ahead of the upcoming season.
  4. It’s madness and quite pathetic that people think this is an appropriate way to spread their message. The shock value actually distracts from their cause.
  5. As a season ticket holder, I don’t think I could afford to pay for individual games. The season ticket gives us a cheaper rate, especially when you factor in food and travel costs. I’m optimistic about the number of fans we’ll get for the Grimsby game, although I expect the turnout for Lincoln to be lower due to the competition.
  6. Boston United made it difficult for Notts by not giving them any space on the field. Wherever the ball was, their players were there too. Games like this will happen, but the positive is knowing that the squad will work hard to get the result they need.
  7. Luke Williams is absolutely right. At the end of the day, football is about enjoyment and it’s important to keep this in mind, even when faced with tough competition. When players have good relationships with each other and can share a laugh, it fosters a team-oriented mentality rather than an individualistic one. It’s clear that the squad wants the best for each other, the club, and the fans. With the current squad, they deserve nothing but our support and encouragement.
  8. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @JustLikeJuve.
  9. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @BeestonPie.
  10. Just don’t go so fast that your exercise bike goes flying out of the window you had opened. ????
  11. I remember Joss Labadie a little, but not as much as others do. I always wish former players all the best, and I quite like Solihull Moors. I hope they have a good season.
  12. I haven’t seen much feedback about Tipton or Claxton. Both players sound promising, and I have nothing against a young CB. It just means they’ll need time to settle into the team and may make the odd mistake, which is something everyone does. Fans need to remember that they probably made mistakes when starting a new job too.
  13. @Fan of Big Tone You never know, you might be able to get out before the weather turns, so you could still do your exercise. Nothing beats fresh air, but I don’t see the point in making plans when it’s likely to be stormy.
  14. It would be lovely if everyone who reads this could take a moment to post a comment, even if it’s just a brief paragraph. I’m curious to know if anyone got up to anything exciting during the close season and if people are starting to look ahead to the new campaign. There’s a lot of excitement surrounding our return to the EFL, which I’m determined to enjoy no matter what happens. I’ll be happy just to be back watching teams like Tranmere Rovers, Bradford City, and Walsall. During the close season, I didn’t do anything particularly special, but it did seem to drag on at the time. Now that we’re in pre-season, everything has accelerated.
  15. I have no plans for the weekend so far; I will most likely be catching up with things. I think it is forecasted to have showers and thunderstorms, so that might get in the way of going out. I hope everyone who does go out has a good time.
  16. I think the Salford fixture is a silly decision which only benefits the home team, and it’s quite unfair. It’s frustrating that the league would approve this despite Notts rejecting it.
  17. It’s nice to have the position sorted and a person appointed; the article says a lot. Maybe the club is planning to release an interview with the new CEO or is trying to allow him to settle in without being bothered. I am just happy it’s sorted now.
  18. I am a bit unsure why it has happened or even been announced; it could simply have been mentioned eventually. I see the insertion of information about getting names on the back, but I am not sure it’s appropriate enough for that to be slipped in for the sake of selling a few names.
  19. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, it's encouraging to see so many new members. So, hello @NewarkMagpie.

  21. I think it shows just how good of a manager Luke Williams is. Our previous managers haven’t focused so much on the details. They may, to a degree, look out for players who are picking up slight concerns, but Williams seems to understand how important each aspect plays a role in the club’s success. It’s very articulate and precise; I can’t even think of a manager that has this approach. It’s not just him, but the staff he has around him. It’s very promising!
  22. Callum McGregor was a classy player for Notts. I don’t remember much of his time here, but I have enjoyed the bond we have with him. It’s nice to see him doing well with Celtic.
  23. Defensively is the area we need to improve the most. We play good, fluid football and can break teams down when we control the matches. It’s good to see the players enjoying their football. I like how Luke Williams is building.
  24. A lot of the away games that I will be attending will be decided very close to when the tickets go on sale, but I do find the list of fixtures interesting and the reasons why. I hope I can make it to games such as Walsall, Tranmere, MK Dons, etc. Bradford City is one of the bigger teams in the league too.
  25. He did very well; he was posing for photos after the games with fans and came across as very nice. I didn’t have mine taken with anyone, but I stood waiting with some people I know who were seeking the other team’s players. ????
