  1. How many seasons have they gotten away with cheating? It’s a joke when clubs try to fight it and delay it. I think the FA and Premier League need to be stricter when clubs don’t abide by the rules. We know they have broken certain rules, so the punishment needs to fit the amount of time taken to apply any penalties or sanctions.
  2. @Countyman I had a similar experience bumping into Brian ‘Killer’ Kilcline, but I obviously knew who he was. This was when he played for Coventry. He was very friendly, but his appearance was still very intimidating. He warmed up when I told him I was from Nottingham, but he did ask me which team I supported, which put a bit of a stir in his eyes. Thankfully, we all know which team that is.
  3. Securing Jodi Jones' signature until 2027 is an incredible achievement for Notts. His 24 assists record is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to his influence on the pitch. Not only has he been a consistent creator for his teammates, but his growth as a goal threat and defensive player shows his all-around development. With his continued stellar performances, Jones is destined to lead the Magpies to greater heights in the coming seasons. His ability to adapt and excel, particularly on the right wing, makes him a crucial part of our strategy moving forward. Well done to the club for sealing this deal!
  4. What a brilliant piece of recruitment we had this summer! Alex Bass has been a fortress in goal, and his performance against Tranmere can only be described as commanding. The defensive additions, especially Bedeau and Platt, have transformed our backline into a much more resilient unit. The midfield depth with the likes of Curtis Edwards and Jack Hinchy is impressive, giving us options to rotate and keep players fresh. The balance and flexibility the new signings bring truly reflect a well-thought-out strategy. I feel like we have all the tools to challenge for success this season.
  5. I really enjoyed reading Steff's perspective on Bromley FC. It's fascinating to see how a small club can make such significant strides in the Football League. The fact that Bromley has managed to maintain their composure and perform well, despite the occasional ups and downs, speaks volumes about their resilience. Their recruitment of a gamer for tactical insights is quite innovative and shows a modern approach to football management. Notts will need to be on their toes, especially in dealing with Bromley’s attacking style.
  6. Don’t take anyone for granted. Try to be there for your friends, especially if you know they are suffering. Let them know you are there, even if it’s just a simple hello. It makes a difference. The video is gripping and powerful.
  7. I’m thrilled to see Jodi Jones get the recognition he deserves. His nomination for League Two Player of the Month is no surprise considering his performances. Three assists and two goals in August highlight just how influential he’s been. His ability to unlock defences and create scoring opportunities is unmatched. Jones’ vision and pace add a dynamic element to the team that helps us dominate games. A true professional, he's a role model for younger players and a joy for us fans to watch. Even if he doesn’t win this time, he’s already a winner in our eyes and crucial for our promotion aspirations.
  8. I'm always thrilled to read about former players who went on to great things, and Paul Devlin is one of the best examples. His journey from Tamworth to the heights of English football is truly inspirational. His stellar performance at Notts County and his memorable stints at Birmingham City and Sheffield United show what a versatile and determined player he was. The fact that he even earned caps for Scotland is just the icing on the cake. This article captures his career beautifully and reminds us all of his outstanding contributions to the game.
  9. Brilliant fan gallery, the Faces of PON. I am sure each of the fans who see their pictures cherish them.
  10. What a performance from Notts County! Despite missing key players like Jones, Crowley, and Jatta, the team showed incredible depth and quality. McGoldrick’s two goals were sensational, showcasing his skill and experience. Bass was equally impressive, making crucial saves to keep a clean sheet. Abbott was a standout in midfield, breaking up play and linking well with his teammates. The team dominated possession and created numerous chances, highlighting their growing confidence and cohesion. This win is an excellent testament to the squad's capability and potential for the rest of the season. Thrilled for the lads!
  11. Maynard’s comments about Accrington being in a false position are spot on. Just because they’ve had a slow start doesn’t mean they won’t put up a fight. It’s easy to underestimate teams like that, but I’m glad Maynard and the squad aren’t taking them lightly. It’s going to be a tough game, but with our unbeaten run and the way we’ve been playing, I’m confident we can come away with the win. The team seems really united, and with the quality we’ve got, especially with the new signings, we should be aiming high this season. Let’s keep this run going.
  12. The decision to honour Sven-Göran Eriksson with a minute’s applause is a beautiful gesture that highlights the profound impact he had on Notts County. Eriksson’s arrival brought a new wave of optimism, leading the club to impressive achievements such as winning the League Two Championship. However, his true legacy lies in his character and integrity. As supporters, players, and staff come together to celebrate his life, it’s evident that his influence extends well beyond his tenure. Eriksson will always be remembered as a legend at Meadow Lane.
  13. Accrington Stanley's transformation under Andy Holt has been nothing short of remarkable. Holt's focus on both infrastructure and youth development is commendable. Players like Shaun Whalley and Tyler Walton add a lot of quality to the squad. Notts, on the other hand, will need to be at their tactical best to counter Stanley's strengths. Farrend Rawson's potential showdown with our forwards will be pivotal. Both teams have a lot on the line, and a draw seems like a realistic prediction.
  14. I'm feeling confident about our chances against Accrington. Our attacking players have been on fire, and the defence has been doing a great job of shutting down opponents. I hope we can continue to impress the fans and secure another victory at Meadow Lane.
  15. It's brilliant to hear how Macari is settling into Notts County. Moving from Stoke City, especially with strong family connections, must have been tough. Still, he’s proving his worth here. His focus on defensive improvements indicates his awareness and growth as a player. I appreciate his comments on wanting to get clean sheets; it’s a vital aspect for any team aspiring for success. Macari’s dedication to play every game this season is commendable, and it’s refreshing to see such enthusiasm. His reflections on last season vs. this season show his maturity. Keep pushing, Lewis!
  16. Thrilled to have George Abbott join Notts for the season. His experience and leadership at such a young age are impressive. I think his versatile playing positions will be a huge benefit for us. Abbott’s involvement in Tottenham’s first-team preparations and success with their Under 21s show he’s got what it takes to excel. Richard Montague’s comments highlight the club’s positive outlook on this signing, and I share that sentiment. Abbott’s winning mentality and athleticism are exactly what we need. Can’t wait to see him make his mark at Meadow Lane. Best of luck, George!
  17. He seems like a good player. Spurs fans have said great things about him. He looks like a young player who is ready for the next step in his career. He doesn't seem nervous or unprepared. The way he talks, how Spurs fans talk about him, and his appearance are all encouraging.
  18. I don't trust The72 and FLW too much. They often write clickbait articles. However, Ken Aboh and Dajaune Brown might be good players to consider. If we sign one of them, they shouldn't be guaranteed a starting spot. They need to work hard to earn their place on the team.
  19. I think we should go all out against Swindon. Press them high, force turnovers, and create chances. We need to be wary of their set pieces, but if we can dominate possession and score early goals, we can control the game. The team's recent form gives me confidence that we can get the win. Let's make it happen!
  20. It's encouraging to hear Maynard's optimism despite the challenges of the transfer window. While we've yet to secure an away win, the recent victory over Grimsby has given us a much-needed boost. The club's aggressive approach to the transfer market, coupled with Maynard's emphasis on squad depth and quality, suggests that we're heading in the right direction. Hopefully, the remaining signings can help us solidify our position and achieve our goals this season.
  21. Good luck to Matt Smith. When he left Salford, he said it was with a heavy heart, and now he’s retired. I wasn’t aware he came into football late, at 20, I think I read.
  22. Awful news. It’s such a shame that his ACL continues to be a problematic issue for him. He worked hard to recover after his injury problems with us, and I hope he gets the medical care he needs.

  25. This article really opened my eyes to the life of Tom Keetley, a player I’d heard of but didn’t know much about. His record-breaking feats for Notts are legendary, and it’s incredible to think about how much he achieved during his career. Scoring 39 goals in one season is something most players can only dream of, and it’s no wonder he’s still held in such high regard by the club’s fans. However, learning about the struggles he faced after retirement was quite sobering. It’s clear that footballers in his era didn’t have the same support systems that players do today, and his story serves as a reminder of how important it is to plan for the future beyond football. Keetley was a true legend, both for his on-field achievements and the lessons his life teaches us.
