Where are they now : Kevin Wilson
I’m afraid I don’t know who he is. I looked him up on Wiki, and it seems he’s been a solid player, having played for many reputable clubs. I wish him all the best.

Where are they now : Richard Brindley
Richard Brindley was undoubtedly one of the best players we let go. However, he just didn’t fit into our system, especially not as a centre back. I have fond memories of him on the right, creating space and passing the ball to others. Unfortunately, our current system doesn’t suit him, and it wouldn’t be fair to keep a player of his calibre on the bench. I hope he thrives at Eastleigh.

Match Discussion: PSF - The Reds (A)
I wasn’t able to attend the game, but I followed the updates on the official Notts Twitter account. It seemed like an exciting match. I’m sure there are lessons to be learned from this game, which Stuart Maynard can address. However, a draw in a pre-season friendly isn’t a serious concern. @Robbie, there’s no harm in trying to bring in a young player who can contribute when needed. If his skills are unique, it gives us an extra option, especially with Macca leaving. This would provide someone else in our current squad the opportunity to step up. These friendlies will be crucial for that. If we perform well, the club won’t need to worry about spending money to bring in a striker. The funds could be used elsewhere. Does anyone have any news on why Alassana Jatta didn’t play? Was he even there? I don’t think he’ll be the next to leave, I’m just curious.

Where are they now : Sam Stubbs
It was a shocking and vicious injury, but Sam Stubbs’ comeback and focus is a positive sign. I’m sure he’ll be mindful of the injury, but hopefully, like other professional players, he’ll be able to bounce back as if it never happened.

Balancing Excitement and Disappointment
I try not to post when I feel my disappointment is driven more by anger. I consider myself a rational thinker, so I don’t naturally balance my expectations. This is Notts County, we have to accept the good and the bad in equal measure and enjoy the time we have with our favourite players.

Kyle Cameron. Should he have stayed?
It’s clear that I had hoped Kyle Cameron would stay with us, but I can see why he might feel the need to move on. After giving his all for Notts, he might not be guaranteed a place in the squad due to new signings, and then he had the captaincy taken from him. It must have been especially hard for him to be sold before even wearing our new shirt. This would disappoint me, but I don’t think it takes anything away from Cameron’s character or person. It must have reinforced his belief that it was time to move on. St Johnstone is as good an opportunity for him as Millwall is for Macaulay Langstaff. Being a Geordie lad and available to play for Scotland, he could get more attention from the national side. Cameron doesn’t deserve any bitterness or resentment, this side of our fan base is unattractive and unwarranted.

Match Discussion: PSF - The Reds (A)
For those who attend, I’ll be counting on your feedback about the new players. I understand we can’t make judgments yet, but early impressions are useful for comparison once they’ve settled in. It’s nice to see how far they’ve come, and it will be refreshing to hear some positive thoughts from fans after the first game in a while.

Matt Palmer for Club Captain? ...edit (Now confirmed)
Matt Palmer may be more reserved, but that could be because he takes time to process his thoughts. Not all captains need to be confrontational with their players. It’s all about how the team values and respects the chosen individual. I believe Palmer would approach the role in the same way he plays football - efficiently and reliably.

Mahovo joins Norwich
Notts might have included a sell-on clause in this deal, which could result in a better outcome for us. If I were in Notts’ position, I would have aimed for a 10% share of any future profits. I doubt we could have secured much more, and there’s a possibility that Lucien Mahovo might be let go before he reaches the standard of Norwich. I hope he does improve, as it would demonstrate that Notts just needs to give their young players more time to develop.

Pre season friendly
I don’t believe the sale of Macaulay Langstaff will influence who leaves tomorrow, but some supporters might express their concerns to the club officials about the sale. Regardless, we must move forward.
