Which Youth Scholar Has the Most Potential?
In your opinion, which of these young scholars do you think possesses the most promising potential to succeed in Notts and make a name for themselves in the world of football? Are there any particular qualities or achievements that stand out to you, or any specific examples of their work that you find particularly impressive? Let’s have a lively and engaging discussion about the future of our youth scholars and the potential they hold for making significant impact in football.

Luther Munakandafa and Lucien Mahovo: To Loan or Not to Loan?
I wanted to start a discussion about Luther Munakandafa and Lucien Mahovo, two of our professional young players. Do you think they will feature in our plans for this season, or do you believe it would be better to loan them out to another team for development? I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this matter. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

New Chief Executive appointed
It’s good to have the CEO all sorted and on board. Joe Palmer sounds like a candidate who can move the role forward. I hope he’s here for many years to come, as having settled staff can only be a good thing. Welcome to Meadow Lane, Joe!

non-league paper on boston vs notts
Boston played as if they had placed magnets on the Notts players; they really limited the amount of space we had, and that made the players have to pass it around quicker. I think movement can sometimes be worth gaining extra insight into, as creating it can be an art within itself.

RIP Trevor Francis
Rest in peace, Trevor Francis. Compared to some players who go for a lot more, I think he’s proven he was worth the money. It’s such a shame to see a legend of the game go.

the72 are back at the rumour mill again
Well, actually, false news with the sole intention of being dubious or misleading is quite harmful. I have seen first-hand how having people believe in stories can generate a lot of negativity. These days, people are more attracted to writing a negative comment than to replying to a well-written story. They linked one of the players before, and there was talk about Sam Pearson, but that connection was dismissed. Now, they are back again, hoping that most Notts fans have forgotten about it. Jesse Debrah has his fans in our supporter base who jokingly ask the club frequently when they are going to announce his signing. Do you think it's possible for us to sign him, even though we already have two trialists playing in the same position? However, he would be a valuable addition to the team. We are not collecting players as if they were Pokémon; avoid sites that specialise in clickbait. It’s not speculation; it’s misleading information put across by people pretending to have the ‘scoop’, ‘inside news’, or ‘source’. When the only source they do have is brown.

MAGnets links - Boston United
He participates in a lot of charity football, so I remember hearing him being interviewed where he spoke about Boston United. I wasn’t completely sure, but I felt fairly certain.

Charlie Slater moves on
Yes, I have seen him doing that work too. He recently gave an interview in which he expressed his desire to do commentary for the World Cup or the FA Cup. I am not sure if he aspires to do more TV work, but the interview did mention that this is what he would be doing now that he has left BBC Radio Nottingham.

Lee Canoville? @Fan of Big Tone? I could google it but I would rather go off memory.

Notts County Manager Luke Williams Discusses Player Injuries and Pre-Season Training
It is good man management to take players out of training and playing in a pre-season friendly. They will catch up, and it is more important to avoid serious or nagging injuries that persist. Luke Williams addressed these concerns while looking out for the players themselves, saying that we are preparing very nicely. There are still three games for players to catch up, and even with the start of the season looming, they will easily get up to speed.

Where are they now? - Joss Labadie
I agree, it’s a good move. Considering that Tranmere and Notts are the two biggest teams he has actually played for, with the rest being typical League Two teams, it suggests to me that the drop isn’t that surprising. He has probably been offered more money by them than he would have been by clubs in the FL cutting back on their expenditure on wages. We are fortunate that we have had good revenue coming in, plus the promotion money.

Salford away moved to Friday night
A lot of Salford City fans are young, with many teenagers who would have supported other Greater Manchester teams. It’s a very easy game for me to get to, so I am not affected, and I will still be going. I believe that Notts fans might encounter obstacles in attending the game, as the number of tickets allocated to them could be limited, potentially falling short of the amount given to fans of other clubs. The Football League cannot possibly justify altering the game to a Friday solely because Manchester United is playing at home, although it is likely the true underlying motive. In Manchester, there is a large base of passionate supporters for City. Therefore, it is likely that people from nearby areas who come to Salford are United fans.

Charlie Slater decision to move away from Notts' commentary is truly heart-wrenching, but my best wishes go out to him.

Scouting Dossier : Notts v F*rest
He looked superb, very comfortable on the ball and aware. His decision-making seemed promising too, as he seemed to back that up with his ability. I hope he continues to play, so we can see if it’s worth offering him a deal or not. So far, I would say it is worth it.

Simon Clark’s Pick of the Top Away Games to Enjoy This Season
The nearest games for me will be Stockport County and Salford City. I can easily get to them from Manchester. They will be on the list for me to attend due to this reason. Bradford City and Tranmere Rovers are two grounds I want to visit, just to tick them off my list of grounds I have been to. It’s a good insight, much to chew on and consider in terms of other games I might go to. I would enjoy going to more games with @liampie and @CliftonMagpie, even catching up with @Chris, if we bump into each other.

Youth Scholars sign deals
Great news to see the youngsters sign up! Does the scholarship mean that Notts gets aid with paying their wages, or is this just the term for players who aren’t quite first-year pros? I find the changes in wording difficult to keep up with. It’s great news though!

Luke Williams discusses Notts County’s new kit design and player evaluation
It felt like the city was excited about the friendly. I noticed plenty of mixed fans watching as I passed bars in the city centre. I didn’t see any trouble, and the minute’s silence was respected by both clubs, which I am pleased wasn’t disturbed by anyone. The match itself showed us a lot about how we can adapt, and I think Luke Williams appreciated the time that Steve Cooper took to connect with him over things. While I still don’t like Forest, I can appreciate this and enjoy the banter with their more sensible fans.
