I don’t know what’s going on with Junior Morias. I know he’s a quick player that can inject pace. He can score and I think we’ll see him come on more out wide, especially if Aaron Nemane doesn’t sign his contract offer from us.

Stone’s settling-in period will be crucial for his integration into the team. I’m sure his teammates will help him feel welcome and comfortable in his new surroundings. I don’t know enough to write him off; I think we should give him a chance. It’s interesting to see some of the valid points made, but we need to remember that a keeper has the most difficult task and that if the defence is no good, then he will concede. I think Tom Weal will be able to work with him and hopefully bring out his best game.

Fixtures are standard to me, but the key is to start brightly and progress as you pick up good results. If Notts could repeat their unbeaten run, as they did last season but in League Two, it would allow us to see just how far this squad may and could go. What’s to complain about? We had to play each team at some point.

It’s a good cup tie. I don’t really care about the EFL Trophy. It amazes me how people call it a tinpot cup but get provoked just because we get drawn against the same team in the Carabao Cup. I think it’s a good rivalry between both clubs.

I’m spending the weekend at my parents’ house. I will head back to Manchester on Sunday evening, but I’ll be driven up by my dad who has kindly offered. I came down by train though. I am looking forward to having some nice meals, catching up and just taking the days as they come. On Sunday, my mum wants us to go round to see some other family members before I go back. I am very much looking forward to another family meal together with everyone.

You haven’t seen it yet, but you plan to give it a watch. You think the show sounds interesting and it seems like something that would be right up your alley. You love horror as a genre and TV series tend to do much better with the amount of time they have to develop the show, rather than a film with heaps of jump scares and silly nonsensical plots.

I understand that you have a few areas that need attention, but you plan to get to them over the weekend. You don’t want to add a cover image for now and that’s completely your choice. You used to have Neal Bishop as your display picture because he was the skipper you most connected with during your years supporting Notts, but now you have Kyle Cameron.

It’s great to hear that Crowley wants to add goals and assists to his game. It’s always important to have players who can contribute offensively, and if he can do that at Notts County, it will be a huge boost for the team. He sounds like he has all the ability to make a positive impact at the club; he’s such an exciting signing.

I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but the fixtures do look promising and I am pleased with the depth of our squad. There are some challenging matches close together, but I have confidence in this team. The away trips seem largely favourable and there are some great home ties. My only hope is that we can avoid any postponements during the critical stages of the season.

Yes, Notts can do their own thing. The way Nottingham Council has conducted themselves is very poorly, and it should have been a forefront thing, rather than a second thought. I think this is even lower than that; they always treat Notts as if we don’t matter.

I completely agree with you, @CliftonMagpie. Jodi Jones is pure class. He’s such a talented player and brings so much to the team. His technical abilities and vision on the pitch are second to none. He’s the kind of player that can change the game in an instant with a moment of brilliance.

I think his time in the Netherlands will aid his development, as adapting to different leagues is a useful skill for players. He sounds like he has a lot of quality, and while comparisons aren’t always negative, I believe he will shine as his own player for Notts. I wish him all the best with the birth of his children; moving to Nottingham makes a lot of sense for this reason.

Imagine creating a time capsule for Notts County to be opened in 50 years. What items would you include to represent the club’s history, achievements, and current state? As a Notts County fan, what personal items or memories would you include? Here’s what I would include in a Notts County time capsule. I would put last season’s home and away shirts in the capsule, along with some programs from the last 20 odd years. I would also include a picture of Jason Turner and a notebook explaining who he was and further stories about current squad members. In addition to these items, I would also include a small Danish flag and a news clipping about the Reedtz Brothers taking over the club. As for personal items, I would include one of my PON features as a means to show my connection to Notts County. To preserve the items in the time capsule, I would look into using airtight bags and conduct further research on how best to prevent degradation over time. I would bury the capsule in the KOP’s goalmouth, where it could be found by future generations of Notts County fans. - What items would best represent Notts County’s history and achievements? What photo of a current player or staff member would you include in the time capsule?

Notts County is still waiting for Aaron Nemane’s decision on his contract. Connell Rawlinson, Sam Slocombe, Jim O’Brien, and Kyle Cameron have renewed their contracts. Ruben Rodrigues has moved on. Jodi Jones has signed permanently, along with Will Randall, David McGoldrick, and Dan Crowley. The new arrivals add a lot of depth and seem to bring their own quality to the squad. What positions do you think Notts County needs to strengthen? Are there any specific players you have in mind?

Dan Crowley is indeed a fantastic signing for the club. Luke Williams is building a very competitive squad for League Two. There may be a few more additions that you would like to see, such as a CB/LWB, but overall the squad is looking strong. I’m glad you’re pleased that Crowley has signed for us.

I feel sorry for both managers. The football business can be like this - there’s no loyalty and managers can go for the most basic of reasons. It’s bad news in a way for Sheffield Wednesday, as Darren Moore had them playing some good football.

Cal Roberts will be fine with Scunthorpe. It’s a great signing for them and I wonder what fee they paid for Cal. I think his injuries have impacted his career, but at the same time he can make a great legacy as a lower-tier player who helps teams gain promotion. His Premier League dreams may not happen, but there’s no reason why he can’t get back to the Football League.

I enjoyed the article, and it has high praise for David McGoldrick. It’s also interesting to see how the Derby manager feels about the loss of their highest goalscorer last season.

It is indeed amazing to see how far the team has come over the past four years. Notts has used their time within the National League to go from strength to strength. I can understand why you feel this is the best the club has been in during your lifetime. It’s exciting to see how we can learn from the experience of dropping down to the Non-League. This is a signing that should excite all fans. He’s an excellent player and someone who has been considered by fans as a realistic target. He has the ability to play at a much higher level; he just needs to settle in and find what works. I believe we will see the best of him at Notts - it’s one hell of a signing.

I don’t get to watch them as often as I would like because I’m busy with work and other things that get in the way of sitting down to watch the games in full. I do watch the highlights on YouTube. I miss some of the tournament games at times, but not many. Notts and the England national team are important to me.

These types of incidents should remain private. I can see it from both sides and understand the keeper’s ambitions, but it comes across as disrespectful to Brentford, who gave him a platform to showcase his ability. He decided to join them and so far, this doesn’t show him in a good light. Brentford would be best to get rid of him and find a new keeper. This situation could be the undoing for all involved. I feel sorry for Brentford; they deserve better.
