Now, no doubt this is a very hard and demanding role to cover.
Good referee's don't grow on trees, just like good English players! They've got to be given a chance to step up and even sometimes they will make mistakes but it's got me wondering, how can we improve things?
There's some very good ref's in the non league, who are held back by an unfair system. I'd like to see it based on how ref's or assistants actually do, which would be unlikely but the current method isn't exactly working. You can forgive the odd mistake but not several in one game, that is just a joke.
If anyone fancies having a say in how Notts County is run here is your chance:

I almost had missed this, if it wasn't for @magpiejue. I've tuned in now, the fan on the notts panel seems to be pretty interesting. I think his thoughts are pretty spot on.
The elderly lady made me laugh LOL
I was sat near here and she's just as funny in person.
Ps. I am the Joe who was quoted regarding Yoann Arquin "If Arquin was more consistent he wouldn't be in the lower leagues. I think we can see more from him but he will be slow at times." ![]()

This baffles me.
I'm a fan of CK but I do not understand this one bit.
5 recognised defenders (not counting Liddle) - and one being a youth (Hollis), SEVEN strikers, a weak midfield.
What do we sign?
Another striker.
Genius. Not impressed.

1-1 at half-time.
Scotland's goal was a howler from Hart. (This seems to be a reoccuring theme of late)
England's a well taken chance from Walcott.
Also Rooney had a goal disallowed for 'offside', he was miles on.
Rooney and Gerrard seem to be linking well, although Rooney's touch is similar to Delroy Facey's at the moment.
Wilshire doing really well, as is Baines.
Welbeck is a waste of space, he is struggling even completing simple passes.

I witnessed some absolutely disgusting behaviour on the "beach" in Nottingham market square earlier today.
I was walking by the sandy bit and saw a man and a woman having an almighty argument in front of loads of kids, suddenly the woman smacked the guy in the head and it all kicked off. There was a massive brawl and someone called the police. This poor copper turned up on his own and took his baton to the man, the guy managed to ****** it off him and began assaulting the copper AND his wife - unbelievable! What sort of example is that for impressionable kids?
Then out of nowhere a crocodile crept up and stole all the sausages.

I have been calling him Showumni I have now found out the correct spelling is Showunmi, not much difference but I'm sure it is important to Enoch.
Who else was guilty?

Round 3 this weekend then. Those of you taking part know the drill by now but we'd be delighted (me in particular) to see a few more people joining in. You can see the other threads in the Prediction League section to get a good idea of how it works but essentially I'll post six fixtures every week and you just have to post your predictions on this thread by 1:30pm on Saturday.
Scoring System Example:
My prediction - Notts County 2-1 Tranmere
Correct Score (game ends 2-1 to Notts) - 3 points
Correct result (Notts win, but not by a score of 2-1) - 1 point
Incorrect result (Notts draw or lose) - 0 points
This Saturday's Fixtures:
Derby County v Leicester City
Millwall v Huddersfield Town
Bristol City v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Stevenage v Leyton Orient
Cheltenham Town v Plymouth Argyle
Rochdale v Chesterfield
Good luck everybody! ![]()

Liverpool away anyone?
I have to say I had wanted us to focus on the League but this is just a fantastic draw, very promising and even if they was to beat us (which is most likely) just the experience would be great and you never know!!

There was a thread somewhere about people having problems with their season cards, I can't find it now but I noticed on the mailing list a lot of people complaining and Mrs Trew came on to apologise and say the club were aware of the problem and it was in hand, she also admitted it cod have affected the attendance figure as turnstile operators were letting fans in without scanning cards.

Our Grandson George is coming up to five in September so I have bought him a Notts home kit, not a bad price at £30 for the whole kit, so well done on that one Notts.
I can't wait to see him in it and take him to his first match, he loves wearing his England kit so I know he will like it. I'll post a picture when he first wears it.

Away from Meadow Lane, I think I would have to say the Emirates Stadium.
If they hadn't torn down the Old Wembley I would have no doubt said that. Only for someone to tell me it's not an English League ground!! It doesn't matter really, anywhere within the UK.
I do like Pride Park, I think it's a nice stadium and hopefully sooner rather than later I will be able to see it inside. Possible get @super_ram to go for apart of his birthday present and watch Derby play with sons and grandchildren. I'd love to see Jake's reaction, especially if Notts managed to get drawn to them in one of the cups.
Come on share yours!

It's Member of the Month time yet again, it's passed by very quickly.
Well Done @tonyhateley, You fully deserve this!
Not only do we find your post to be funny, helpful and interesting but you've helped out in many areas this passed month. We've decided that we needed to inspect, as a photo finish was on the cards due to another member also doing extremely well. It's at this point however, I have to say we need more people posting and I encourage any lurking members to be apart of our community and rival for this.
It's just a way to praise members, so it would certainly be nice to have more in the running.
This doesn't take anything from Tony or previous winners, I am sure each will agree that we need competition and active members.
Great work by PoN's Official Legend!

Hi everybody, I'm a true Juve fan and Notts County lover.
I would ask you if you know why Juventus says to have 31 titles, when the Italian League says 29.
I think most of the people will say 32 for the friendship, but I want to know if somebody really know the facts from 2006
FORZA JUVE!

First game of the season and only tomorrow!!
What do you think the attendance will be?
Someone asked me on Facebook, I'm not sure about away games but 2.5 would be nice. Notts have said we've sold over 800 tickets, so hopefully more will pay on the day. I just hope this business about them being slow to get fans in isn't true, we don't need this at the start of the season!
I think it will be a good game, I can firmly see Notts winning and I really hope we do. It would be great to get the season off with a good run and build this optimism.
Despite what that football magazine said, I am also confident that my league prediction can come true, I have full faith in Notts and Chris.

I was at the match yesterday and our next door neighbour (a Fword fan but a nice chap really) delightedly told Mrs. H that he had heard on the radio we were losing 4-1 so she had better be careful when I got home.
Some time later I walked in all depressed after our humiliation and she had a pint of my favourite beer ready for me on the coffee table to cheer me up, bless her, one in a million.
She never fails to say "I hope they win" when I leave the house and is always there to pick up the pieces when we lose.

nobody in my family really likes football, my dad would only take me because i asked him. it was just by luck that he took me to see notts, so i dont know anyone who is a support. all my friends support forest or premier league teams!
there is people here who might also know a member whos joined.
my idea is to see if we can help or encourage them to taking part, it is fun once you get into the mix of things and i think if we could get a few more active posters it would make the world of a difference.

We've have some very good players, so of whom I don't feel get the credit they deserve. It seems that once a bad performance occurs, which let's face it does happen and it can to the majority of the squad, it tends to stick with certain players. I feel we have a talented League One side, just missing a few links but sure we have creative players.
Who is our best player and why?
I'd have to say 'Gary Liddle'. He's consistently good, robust and very hard working. Regardless of where he plays you have confidence in him and he shines Championship quality to me.
My Favourite player?
Jamal Campbell-Ryce, I like his character and how he tries. He doesn't give less than 100% and he tries to get things going, which I respect. At the time where the players went away, he was one of the one's who remained to give respect to the fans.

I see our old boy Kelvin is rumoured to be rejoining them across the river for 2.5 million from Celtic.
It seems their owners do have money after all and I was hoping they were another Munto.
