We're getting pretty big time! Notts will be on TV for the third time already this season next month when we travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the second round of the JPT. The match will be on Tuesday 8th October.

The draw in full:
York City v Rotherham United
Sheffield United v Hartlepool United

Wolves v Notts County

Mansfield Town v Chesterfield

Fleetwood Town v Crewe Alexandra
Morecambe v Carlisle United

Preston North End v Oldham Athletic

Port Vale v Rochdale

Southend United v Dag & Red
Peterborough United v Brentford

Stevenage v MK Dons
Leyton Orient v Coventry City

Oxford United v Portsmouth

Swindon Town v Plymouth Argyle

Wycombe Wanderers v Bristol City

Crawley Town v Newport County

Some tasty looking ties - especially York v Rotherham and Mansfield v Chesterfield

Depressed by County's start to the season? Well spare a thought for fans of Northern Irish Premiership side Ballinamallard United.

Their result today?

Portadown 11-0 Ballinamallard United

No financial meltdown, no youth team being fielded. These two finished side by side in the league last season!

Just remember, no matter how bad things seem, it could always be worse

After beating BOTH Sheffield clubs recently......................................

Hi Brad

Welcome to PoN :waving:

It's great to have opposition fans on here and I see you have already been busy posting.

Great to see so many new members joining the site today!

Big welcomes to @ShmermVMP, @FlintshirePie, @bean1510, @Manneken Pis, and @weymuff! :)

Goodness me! Do we have another Weymouth based pie here in @weymuff? I know there are a few down here but it'll be great if I'm not the only Dorset Pies representative on here :D

Feel free to join in the prediction league guys. Been going for 5 weeks now but we're all so bad you'll probably catch us all up within one week lol

Two new members to welcome today, welcome guys, I hope you enjoy our community.

Finally the end of the road for the Poppies, who were today wound up in the high court over a 58 grand debt

Meanwhile Sky Sports News show absolutely no interest in this sad news, and instead continue to bang on and on about clubs paying tens of millions of pounds for single players.

The whole thing just makes me sick really.

As for KTFC who knows what the future holds. According to their website, their games tommorow night and on Saturday will go ahead while an administrator winds everything up and makes sure creditors get a fair share of whats left. Not that that'll be much.

Very sad news. Was only in 2008 that they knocked us out of the FA Cup 2nd round...

I'm not totally confident in England whoever they are playing these days, but Ukraine are a decent side who can, and have, caused us problems.

Looking forward to a good game though!

Gerrard is a Notts fan :)

Hopefully everyone comes back for this week, last week was very quiet

This week's fixtures:
Leicester City v Wigan Athletic

Watford v Charlton Athletic

Bristol City v Peterborough United

Wolves v Swindon Town

Newport County v Morecambe

York City v Mansfield Town

Deadline is 1:30pm on Saturday

Good luck everybody:)

We have another new member to welcome @guineapigpie :waving:

I hope you enjoy being a part of this friendly community.

Due to the International break, there are no Championship fixtures this Saturday. So instead of the usual 2 fixtures from each league, this week there are 3 fixtures from league one and 3 fixtures from league two.

This week's matches:
Bradford City v Brentford
Crewe Alexandra v Peterborough United
Rotherham United v Sheffield United
Burton Albion v Oxford United
Dagenham & Redbridge v Exeter City
Plymouth Argyle v Bristol Rovers

Deadline for predictions is Saturday 1:30PM

As ever, any new members who wish to join are more than welcome. There aren't many points on the board at the minute so you have plenty of time to catch up. Just post your predictions for the aforementioned matches on this thread.

3 points for a correct score, 1 point for a correct result.

Good luck everyone :)

Who's going to be watching tonights qualifier then? Pretty important game for England and realistically we should be winning this one fairly comfortably, but there are no certainties in football.

So frustrating the amount of players you see drop out through "injury" in the build up to Internationals. Sturridge is suddenly injured, despite being absolutely fine in every game so far and showing no signs of any injury. What on earth do they make them do in training in the build up to Internationals?

I'll probably end up flicking between the England match and the game in Belfast between Northern Ireland and Portugal. Could see that being a really good game. Northern Ireland are at their most dangerous when they play teams they have no right to get anything against, as they proved against Russia.

Predictions for the England game?

I'll go 4-0 England :)

Another week is about to begin so time to move on from Saturday and look ahead to the next match. Not exacly the biggest of games, and our JPT record suggests we probably will get beaten but I think this game has taken on some importance given recent results.

I would hope Kiwomya uses this match as an oppurtunity to trial Liddle in midfield with Deano and Manny Smith as the two CBs. And TWO up front!

Would also be good to see the likes of Melvin, Coombes, Thompson, Nangle and Waite given a chance in this game. We will likely be relying on these youngsters at some stage this season so game time will be crucial.

Saying that, this is a game I'd love for us to win simply for the fact that we'll then have 11 days before our next match, and a win would give the fans a little something to smile about before the next game, and at least some cause for optomism.

Burton though are a good side, and given our recent form I predict an away win. People who know me know I'm always optomistic of us winning whatever the situation, but I just think there's such a bad vibe about the place, a lack of confidence in the team that our annual 1st round exit is inevitable. I hope I'm wrong though...

Anyone going? I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see a three figure gate to be honest.

COYP

Another ballsed up accumulator on the WC games.
Beat Czech Republic away
obviously I went for a home win

Next weekends match away to Leyton Orient has been postponed due to a number of International call-ups. It's a shame for me as I might have been going, would have been £25 on the train.

Still, it'll give us a free weekend and time to regroup a bit

This Saturday the 7th of September is the 3rd annual Non League Day. Fans are encouraged on this day to go along to support their local non-league clubs. Ofcourse, getting people through the turnstiles is tricky for non-league clubs in this day and age but it is their main source of income, and many of them will be doing promotions and admission deals this weekend. Hitchin Town for example are offering AFC Bournemouth season ticket holders half price admission for their game this weekend if they show their season tickets.

With Notts County not being in action this weekend this is a perfect oppurtinity for Notts fans to get involved with this.

Local non-league matches this weekend:
Alfreton Town v Woking
Hucknall Town v Swanwick Pentrich Road
Eastwood Town v Chasetown
Arnold Town are at home in the FA Vase

Hinckley United v Weymouth (COYT! :D )

There are probably a few other clubs I've missed off from here but go on, get yourself down to your local non-league club and support them. Non-league clubs need you now more than ever. Eastwood Town, Hucknall Town and Hinckley United in particular are all going through tough times at this moment in time so your prescence would be great for them.

Seriously, go to a non-league match on Saturday if you can. Some of you may have never been and will probably look at it thinking it'll be just 11 beer bellies huffing about a field for 90 minutes but you'll be pleasently surprised. I guarentee you'll enjoy it and you'll come away thinking it was money (and it'll be cheap) well spent.

Think about it :)

I listened to last night's match talk and a caller said that he had heard that Mrs. Trew was abused by some fans after Saturday's match and he wanted to apologise to her on behalf of decent Notts County fans because she was apparently really upset. He hadn't witnessed the incident but had heard it second hand, I really hope this isn't true, don't these people realise what a huge debt we owe to the Trew's especially Mrs. Trew who persuaded her husband not to put us into Administration when it seemed the logical choice.

If @erindoors reads this I hope she will realise that the majority of our fans are decent people and the people who abused her (if true) are not real Notts County fans.

Also on the programme the Jim Rodwell was on briefly and was asked about any movement on deadline day and he said it was very unlikely and that we had to make best use of the players we already had, further cuts are possible as Notts try to stay within the FFP guidelines.

You know the drill by now :)

This Saturday's fixtures:
Barnsley v Huddersfield Town

Doncaster Rovers v AFC Bournemouth

Colchester United v Leyton Orient

Oldham Athletic v Tranmere Rovers

Portsmouth v Chesterfield

Wycombe Wanderers v Southend United

As always, any new members are more than welcome to take part. You can see the other threads for an example of what its about but basically you just have to post your predictions for the above matches by 1:30pm on Saturday. 3 points for a correct score, 1 point for a correct result.

Good luck! :)

I'm delighted to see a fellow Irishman join Notts and very excited when that player is of the quality that Enda Stevens is.

Enda played in the group stages of the Europa League for Shamrock Rovers and made a handful of appearances in the Premiership. He's a solid defender and will attack at will. He's a bit like Seamus Coleman who plays for Everton.

Hopefully we will see a more relaxed game, though it would be nice for the same principles applied at Anfield. I don't agree that there's now expectations, least not in the same context that some media sources have been mentioning at least. The ability to score and create chances are there, we just need to make it happy and to make sure that we attack games. It's easy when you think about it, the only way to take pressure off, is to attack well.

I'm not going to say we'll walk Rotherham over, they've been doing okay and anyone who attended last season's cup game will tell you they know how to punish us.

The difference this year is the fact we have Bart available to call upon, a keeper can make the defense feel so much calmer and this isn't aimed at a dig to Liam Mitchell who's moved onto life at the stags.

We need to find some form some sort of consistency and although I agree we should be beating teams like the millers, this doesn't mean we have the divine right

I won't at the game, I'm sort of gutted but it's time for me to have a seaside trip with my family. I think @super_ram deserves to relax a little also.

Personally I think we will create more chances but I really don't know if we will win, I really hope so but I feel a draw might happen.

Your thoughts?

The past month we have seen some new members join the ranks of our little community.

I really feel I should try to sort out some structure when I do this, although I think winging it isn't to bad. I tend to look the previous months for an idea anyway.

Firstly I'd like to thank all the members who have posted and visited.

I'd like to give a special mention to the following three members - @MuddyPatchPie @Dripsey3 and @upthepies.

This doesn't take anything anway from anyone else's contributions and it's really nice to see things picking up again for the site. On the quiet front of the close season/pre season I think we've made some fine ground and made some new friends along the way.

This Months - Member Of The Month goes too... *Drum Roll*

@Super_Danny_Allsopp

He's really become apart of the site and his views are always interesting. The depth of some is good - along with his 'Where are they now posts' which @super_ram doesn't quit mentioning to me - Like I haven't read 'em myself! LOL

Well Done SDA - Not bad for a new signing! Please take time to congratulate him. You Pies!

A warm welcome to new member @MagpieMania I hope you enjoy being part of our friendly community.

Notts' purple and yellow away kit has been nominated in the top ten worst kits in the country.

Personally I don't think it is that bad, I have seen worse.

Hi, Ian, Millers fan here, if Joe's around, i've answered the questions he asked for the Opposition view.

Good luck for the rest of the season after Saturday of course.

Around 1500 of us coming down to ML at the last count, hopefully more, so enjoy the game everyone!!!

Welcome to the site @garyb :) Always nice to see new members joining the site. Don't hesistate to join in the discussions or predictions league, we don't bite....
