  1. Revisiting the goals, it tempts me to withdraw and brood until Monday. How poor was the defence and Aidan Stone? It seems somehow worse when watching the highlights.
  2. It's clear that Luke Williams has done his homework on Colchester United's team structure and playstyle. His acknowledgment of Colchester's adaptability and tactical prowess only solidifies my belief in his capacity as a coach. It’s impressive how he's not letting his team's league standings cloud his judgement about the upcoming match’s difficulty level, instead focusing on honing his own team's strengths and developing strategies to counter the challenges posed by Colchester. Can't wait to see how Notts County rises to this challenge.
  3. Norwich City 1-0 Birmingham City QPR 0-1 Coventry City Port Vale 0-2 Bolton Wanderers Joker Reading 2-1 Burton Albion Gillingham 1-1 Mansfield Town Salford City 2-1 Newport County Halifax Town 0-1 Eastleigh Rochdale 1-2 Southend United
  4. There’s no harm in believing that Notts can clinch the league title or secure automatic promotion. As fans, we need to remain neutral and support the team throughout their matches. If we face any setbacks or hiccups, I have faith that Luke Williams can navigate them effectively. He’s crafting a formula for success and, more importantly, instilling belief in each player. Given our current performance, it’s hard to predict when our winning streak might end. With matches against Swindon Town and Mansfield on the horizon, performing well against Colchester United is crucial to keep up the pressure.
  5. Hello and welcome to the Pride of Nottingham! We’re thrilled to have you join our community @Middlesex Magpie.
  6. Hello @Niederbayern Pie and welcome to the Pride of Nottingham! We’re delighted to have you join our community.
  7. David McGoldrick’s seasoned skills were on full display throughout the match, demonstrating his exceptional quality. A player of his calibre deserves recognition and respect. The primary objective is victory, but the ability to regroup after a setback, such as returning to a level score line, reveals the tenacity of our players. This resilience is a positive takeaway from the game for both sides, highlighting each team’s determination to fight for the result.

Hello, welcome to the PON site @Benji.
  9. This was a test of true resilience! Facing a strong comeback from Forest Greens, especially the spectacular hat-trick from Deeney that had us all on our nerves, and dealing with it with such tenacity was indeed commendable. Our stellar performances from Crowley, Langstaff, Bostock and McGoldrick made all the difference. Major credits to Luke Williams for his strategic switches at pivotal moments. I am looking for to the next game!
  10. I’m not particularly concerned. There have been numerous instances where fans have expressed hope for a player to sign, only for them to turn out to be a let down. We need players who align with our style and can develop alongside us. Perhaps the club doesn’t believe Debrah fits this mould? Maybe his wage demands were too high or he wasn’t even on our radar?
  11. Best wishes to Neil Warnock on his retirement. He’s quite a character and an exceptional manager. While some may attempt to coax him out of retirement, he needs to consider what’s best for him.
  12. The podcast was excellent, very informative and concise with much-needed changes to the game being discussed. I concur that the suggestions made could greatly benefit the game and it’s something that should have been implemented years ago.
  13. Their story has garnered a lot of neutral fans who are rooting for them. It’s a compelling narrative and their accomplishments need to be recognised without overly focusing on their losing streak. Hopefully, their fortunes will improve soon.
  14. I don’t foresee Oldham having much luck in the managerial department, but they should be able to find someone who can do a commendable job, stabilise the situation, and provide a platform for them to progress.
  15. This was very sad to learn about, I thought I had paid my respects but it would seem I did not. Colin Murphy is a man of football, he has done a lot for many clubs and could be considered unlucky with Notts. May he rest in peace.
  16. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, it's great to have you here @Morten Johansen. Hello from me also.
  17. Jodi's understanding of the physicality of club football versus international football is insightful. Not many players appreciate that subtlety. His willingness to adapt to different game plans - from being possession-dominant at Notts to being the underdog internationally - shows the depth of his tactical understanding and flexibility. It's indeed a learning curve, but he's climbing it diligently.
  18. Leeds United 2-0 Watford Swansea City 1-1 Sheffield Wednesday Cambridge United 0-1 Port Vale Portsmouth 2-1 Lincoln City Joker Morecambe 0-1 Swindon Town Stockport County 1-3 Wrexham Gateshead 1-1 Maidenhead United Oldham Athletic 0-1 Oxford City
  19. Teams like Forest Green Rovers are precisely the ones against which we should be excelling. It’s crucial that we steer clear of yellow cards, a challenge that has become increasingly difficult due to recent rule changes and directives for match officials. I’m optimistic for an engaging, end-to-end game, with Notts clearly outshining their opponents. The performance of Matt Palmer against them will be particularly intriguing to watch. Alongside Dan Crowley, Palmer should be more than capable of exploiting their weak defence. Their combined skills and strategic play could potentially create significant openings, thereby turning the tide in our favour. This match could serve as a testament to their abilities and the overall strength of our team. It’s these kinds of matches that truly test a team’s mettle, and I have high hopes for Notts in this regard.
  20. Despite his injuries, Mason Bennett has performed admirably. His ability to continue playing at the League One level speaks volumes about his innate talent, a feat most players wouldn’t have been able to achieve. I hope he and Burton can orchestrate a turnaround, as there’s no denying he’s a striker of high quality.
  21. Neil Warnock is a unique breed of manager, consistently delivering good results and capable of completely transforming a team. Once his tenure at Huddersfield ends, I hope he finds more time for himself. He’s created an impressive legacy and is well on his way to achieving legendary status.
  22. A warm welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, hello from me as well, @Ryan Raynor.
  23. Hello, @Laura Griffin, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham.
  24. Jayden Richardson is another player who has also had a stint with Forest Green Rovers.
  25. Notts County’s philosophy is evidently rooted in determination and a ‘no-excuse’ attitude. Crowley’s remarks on their strenuous pre-season underscore the immense effort the players exert, both physically and mentally. The players’ commendable diligence and consistency in training, coupled with their unwavering focus on enhancing fitness and skill, are visibly impacting their performance on the pitch. However, it’s not solely about physical fitness; the team’s dedication to fortifying their mental resilience is equally crucial. Success is largely a mental game, and a positive mindset can tip the balance in tight matches. Crowley’s observations indicate that Notts County has struck this balance, demonstrating a promising approach for the future.
