“He’s a Warrior”: Head Coach Luke Williams Praises Macaulay Langstaff’s Performance in Notts County’s Win Over Accrington Stanley
It's clear that Langstaff is hitting his stride, his performance against Accrington Stanley is commendable. His warrior-like approach on the field, devotion to the team, and his flawless scoring ability are becoming his trademark, marking him as a player to watch. Williams' praise is rightly due; Langstaff is showing sheer strength and resolve on the pitch. It’s thrilling to witness such moments of brilliance.

Match Discussion: Game 6 - The 'Owd Reds (H)
Accrington Stanley came looking for a point. They had no game plan and were just trying to deliver a tidy team performance, which they did. However, aside from their set piece which they scored from, they did little else to trouble us. The few chances they did get were either missed by their players or placed straight at Stone. It was an average performance, but a tidy one. As for Notts, they played with spirit and quality. None of our goals should have been disallowed. I also feel it was the Accrington keeper who positioned the second ball just in front of his goal and then decided to play with a different one, obviously some sort of tactic to try to disallow any further goals. The referee was poor, very poor.

Top of the league
If there was ever a time to shout, sing, and be as loud as possible, it’s when we’re at the top of the league. We need to make sure we keep up the positive influence that the 12th man brings. It’s brilliant to be at the top, so let’s enjoy it!

Player ratings v Accrington
Stone 7 - generally quite good, some errors but none of which proved costly. he made up with it with a great save with his legs. Rawlinson 6.5 - played well until he went off, a few moments where he lost his man but he made up for it. Brindley 7 - solid player in the centre of the three, much calmer and does everything needed. Cameron 6.5 - did well but he tended to hang onto the ball for longer than needed and in those defensive areas it seemed neglectful. Nemane 6 - being kicked and targeted does not help but he did just fine. Palmer 7 - superb throughout, calm and composed. Eager to get the ball forward. Bostock 7.5 - brilliant second best player on the pitch. Jones 6 - he did well, gave a lot of energy but became frustrated with being targeted with challenges. Crowley 6 - Good first half, neat at times in the second but not his best performance by far. McGoldrick 6.5 - he struggled at times, but he did some very neat passes and worked hard. Langstaff 8* - scored his second despite being clattered twice, i was surprised he did not go off. he just looked fired up, chased every ball. The true Man of the Match.

Notts County Secures Third Win in a Row with 3-1 Victory Over Accrington Stanley
Impressive performance by Notts County against Accrington Stanley. Crowley and Langstaff seem to be making a habit of starring in these games. With this win, our chances for back-to-back promotions look even more likely. Can't wait for the next game! Up the Magpies!

York City sack manager
It’s early for managers to be leaving clubs, but that’s just how it is. Football is a bit of a joke when it comes to wanting success but believing it comes instantly or after a few games. There’s no forward thinking for long-term solutions. Imagine if the Reedtz brothers weren’t owners. Would any of our previous owners have sacked Luke Williams for our opening day defeat? I hope not, but that’s what football has become. Thank goodness we have sensible owners.

Notts fail in 2 bids for Drogheda defender
This would be the icing on the cake in terms of our recruitment this season. He looks like a very capable player that should do well in a side like ours.

Transfer deadline day looms...Ins and outs?
I don’t think we need to rush to sign a DM. Ollie Tipton should be able to cover, and Jim O’Brien is fine with being rotated with John Bostock. Signing someone now would just seem for the sake of signing someone. Reviewing in January would be the best solution. As for a centre-back, yes please!

cedwyn scott injury
I hope he’s doing okay and isn’t out for all that long. The main thing is that he’s okay and being looked after; football and the other stuff can wait. I wish him all the best as he gets back to full fitness.

Charlton sack their manager..and an ex Notts connection...
I have seen him linked, but with very low odds. It’s a non-story because how many managers are out of work? Quite a lot. I don’t see teams coming to pay a club compensation, and I doubt Notts would be willing to part with Luke Williams as easily as they did by allowing Ian Burchnall to go join FGR.

Jodie Jones called up for Malta
I don’t think Malta can afford to overlook someone like Jodi Jones. He’s by far one of their better players, and any chance they have to get something would be to include him. I never had any doubts about his call-up. Well done, Jodi!

Match Discussion: Game 5 - Super White Army (H)
The players did us proud today by hanging onto the win. It was unfortunate to see Cedwyn Scott go off and us concede. We played exceptionally well and completely deserved the win. The performances were very good too, and we could have scored a lot more. Hopefully, Luke Williams will hold back on making all the changes at once, as it could cost us, but I don’t hold it against him. I just feel it would be better to reserve at least one substitution for the dying moments of the game, unless we are comfortably winning.

A well-deserved win! McGoldrick and Rawlinson did us proud. Looking forward to more victories!

Match Discussion: Game 5 - Super White Army (H)
I think Notts will win 2-0. Macaulay Langstaff and David McGoldrick are the two players I would say are likely to score. Tranmere Rovers will most likely try to get their season back on track, Notts are quite overpowered in midfield and our system works well. Whilst I think that we should be fine in possession and on goal, I do think they will cause us concern. Despite the clean sheet, I think it will be due to Aidan Stone as to keeping them out.

Cameron apologises
I don't expect any apologies, but it's nice when a player does it unprompted because it shows that they care. The players didn't really need to do it after the Sutton defeat, yet from the political point it keeps fan on aside and less likely to complain.

Jodie Jones Grimsby goal stands
Good news for Notts and Jodi Jones, it looked unlikely that his goal would be given, but the matter has now been decided. Good for him!

MAGnets links - Tranmere
I have been racking my brain trying to think of another player who has played for both teams, but I am stumped right now. I am sure there are a handful of players who haven’t been named.
