  1. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. It's good to see another new member @JustLikeJuve.
  2. Hello, welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. It's a good site, @Sir Magpie.
  3. Like everyone else, I feel that Notts are on the up now, and I think the club is good enough. I have always felt that the players have the quality to adapt to playing league football. They are league players, not non-league, and it’s just a case of them gaining the confidence to move forward. With us having only played one home game so far, it will be interesting to see if we will be difficult to beat at home. Meadow Lane needs to be a fortress that we defend, and while the fans’ support is so great, I think that is all the motivation the players need to make sure we win or at least draw.
  4. @liampie It’s a classic British sitcom that ended before it should have, but at the same time, it didn’t overstay its welcome, which certainly makes the episodes that were made all the more enjoyable. Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em and Fawlty Towers both should have lasted longer but are brilliant because each episode is uniquely funny.
  5. Welcome to aboard PON @NorthPie.
  6. Neither side should consider this achievement as assured; it could dissolve as swiftly as it materialised. Sustaining this sense of unity will require mutual dedication. I believe its continuation is highly significant. Notts must treat their fans as integral to the club's identity, not just certain groups or overseas supporters, but everyone.
  7. The photograph showcases an impressive squad; Tony Hateley would have undoubtedly been a delight to watch on the field. Although he predates my era, I am well aware of his remarkable skills.
  8. I sympathise with the England women's team; their performance was outstanding, and reaching the final demonstrates their significant progress. Spain's emergence as winners is unexpected; the pre-tournament favourites were Sweden and the US. The unfortunate consequence is that it exposes the absurdity of those who made sexist remarks, boasting about their superiority over the men's team. Drawing comparisons between the two is unnecessary; our focus should be on sheer pride.
  9. Well done to Langstaff for his performance. Great to hear he's not settling for less despite scoring twice. There's the fire in his belly we need for the upcoming games!
  10. The commentary on Radio Nottingham is satisfactory, although I do occasionally find myself missing Charlie Slater. However, the new voices on air have been a pleasant delight. With time and experience, Adam's skills behind the mic are likely to grow. It holds great significance for the club to have individuals like him engaging with fans, especially the younger generation who can look up to him and find a relatable figure. As for Dave, his seasoned professionalism shines through in the way he covers the matches.
  11. Hello, @zaradek. Welcome to the site.
  12. Hello, @JC1966. Welcome to the site.
  13. It's not just that Macaulay Langstaff finally notched up his first Football League goals, it's the manner in which he did it that's truly impressive. His unshakeable confidence, even when the pressure was on - from both his own expectations and those of the fans - shows a maturity that resonates with every football lover. Not many can handle that kind of pressure and still deliver top-notch performance. The team, too, deserves commendation for their resilience and adaptability, especially in absorbing new tactics involving set pieces. Their triumph is a brilliant collaboration of individual talents and unity.
  14. he fans are indeed the heartbeat of any club, and this is evident in these pictures. The happiness on everyone's faces is palpable, reflecting the unifying power of football.
  15. Williams' analysis provides a refreshing insight into the team's performance. His commendation of Langstaff's contribution and the recognition of all the players' efforts reflect his understanding and astute leadership.
  16. Anticipating an effortless match is unlikely, but I am confident that Notts will capitalize on the situation and build on the progress from previous games. Things are progressing, though I came across some fans on Facebook claiming our style of play is dull. Seriously? I thought our main focus was on making strides forward. This being our inaugural season, I hope the team performs well against Doncaster Rovers to silence those critics.
  17. The news about Langstaff is absolutely fantastic; he's a genuine threat and an incredibly promising player. His current lack of goals doesn't worry me; we're aware of his ability to score numerous goals, and his opportunities will arise. I'm genuinely thrilled to witness his extended commitment to Notts.
  18. I trust that Luke Williams achieves a well-deserved outcome for his diligent efforts, which also encompass the squad's contributions. Considering our ascent from the National League, one might expect some fans to exercise patience and refrain from premature judgments in the early stages of the season.
  19. John is displaying his seasoned insight here; he possesses a deep understanding of the football landscape, as evidenced by these remarks. Ideally, we can secure a solid standing and silence certain misguided supporters.

  21. Ahaha ha ha! It's very true though.
  22. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @helcat.
  23. Work on the defence and effective utilisation of our wingers could turn the tables for County next time. This was genuinely insightful!
  24. Not a result we would have wished for after such sustained pressure but let's not ignore the strides we're making. The game management was applaudable and had moments of brilliance like Jones volley hitting the bar.
