  1. They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn; At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, We will remember them.
  2. I think that this game should not be on Stuart's priority list I would just play available squad players with a mix of Academy players for this match. We cannot afford any more injuries to key first teamers, with a tough game coming up away against Crewe.
  3. Your Sunday Morning Weather
  4. It's Matchday. CMON U PIES!!!
  5. In my opinion there were four players stood out for Notts, Matty Platt. Solid defensive performance once again. Alassana Jatta. Seems to get better with each match. Never stopped running, & led the live well, & scored the Notts goal. George Abbott. What a signing this guy was. Another sterling performance. He's going to have a good footballing future.. Alex Bass. Another commanding performance in goal. No fault with the Doncaster goal. Best goalie in the league. I'm going to give it to Alex Bass for another solid performance especially in that second half when Notts were under lots of pressure.
  6. @Wheelbarrow repair man He might take a pay cut to take Leicester on. It would be a challenge for him that he might excel at. Saving Leicester from the drop could get other clubs higher up the league paying him attention once again. You never know. Another spell at Chelsea could happen once more.
  7. @liampie Pep has a high reputation because he's only managed top sides with the best players. He's been lucky in that respect. I think he'd struggle if he managed an ordinary championship club that's mid table. @Wheelbarrow repair man We will have to see what transpires in the next few matches but we may learn what he is made of too.
  8. @Wheelbarrow repair man Not a good record though is it to have the longest losing streak in 18 years since Stuart Pearce was in charge. I'm sure that will rankle with Pep & the owners. The City fans are already in meltdown on social media.
  9. Brighton 2-1 Man City A fourth successive defeat for Manchester City. It is the first time in Pep Guardiola's managerial career he's lost four games in a row. It is also the first time Manchester City have lost four successive games in 18 years, since Stuart Pearce was manager. Pep under big pressure. The Owners won't be happy. Can he survive?
  10. This was poetry in motion. What a move, & what a finish.
  11. This was a match of two halves today. Notts were brilliant in the first half, especially in the first twenty five minutes. Some of the best football that Notts have played under Stuart Maynard. The side that Stuart has put together is playing as one all over the field. The move that lead to Jatta heading his tenth goal of the season was pure class at this level, & will rightly be a contender for Notts goal of the season. Doncaster, came back into it in the 2nd half and Notts had some serious defending to do, but apart from conceding the one goal, Notts looked solid enough & were well worth a point in the end. Stuart is rightly satisfied with a point & another difficult match has been ticked off with Notts remaining unbeaten away. Another tough match follows next week at Crewe, but I'm confident that Notts will give a good account of themselves there too. We are getting closer to the new year, when hopefully, Edwards, Jones & Grant will return to strengthen the squad.
  12. Port Vale lost & Walsall drew today so Notts remain in the mix. I think the first half performance today was arguably the best under Stuart Maynard. The goal was a team goal of a very high class at this level. What is so different about this side this season is the defence, I've said it before & I'll say it again, if a team has a brilliant defence & a good goalkeeper between the sticks, they have every chance of success. Notts were under a lot of pressure in the second half but apart from the goal, they remained solid. Another game ticked off and we are closer to the new year when hopefully, Grant, Edwards, & Jones will be back to strengthen the squad.
  13. These Notts players are my shortlist for the PON Man of the Match. Brown, Austin, Bedeau, Platt, Jatta, Abbott, Bass, Macari.
  14. League table after today's matches Notts still in third place.
  15. Full time. A great point for Notts. The draw confirms Notts County are the ONLY club in the EFL who remain unbeaten away from home...
  16. Update. Update. Update goal to Doncaster.
  17. Update Doncaster 0 Notts 1. 56 mins
  18. The second half begins. CMON U PIES!!
  19. Half Time. Great team goal has Notts leading at the break. Mark Stallard: "That was just special, really special"
