  1. GOOOOOAAAAAL JATTA Mark Stallard: "Goal of the season contender"
  2. The Notts team to face Doncaster.
  3. We do not know that state of play regarding injuries, but this would be my team if some players become available. Bass Macari, Platt, Bedeau Tsaroulla,Palmer,Abbott,Gordon Crowley, McGoldrick, Jatta. Subs, Mcdonald, Hinchy, Robertson, Martin, Brown, Austin, Slocombe. I think that starting 11 is the strongest considering the injuries we have. I think it may be a draw today. Possibly 1:1. A clean sheet would be even better.
  4. @Wheelbarrow repair man maybe Leicester City will be looking for a Manager soon if things don't improve for them although Big Sam or Neil might be in the running for that job too.
  5. Another dreary start to the day. Looking forward to the match this afternoon. I think this game will give us a lot of insight into Notts's promotion credentials this season.. Doncaster away will be the toughest game of the season so far. I will be listening to the game on the Radio hoping that Notts can get a positive result today. The prospect of 3000 Notts fans cheering the team on today is awesome. A PL side would be proud to have that number at an away game. In my opinion a draw would be a great result. A clean sheet would be even better.
  6. Can't disagree with what you've said @Wheelbarrow repair man A minimum of eight home players in a squad of 25 doesn't mean they'll be any home players in a PL eleven. It would be better to have a minimum home player number on the field at any one time. If it were me making the rules that number would be at least six, to ensure home players have the majority at all times. I would also ensure that there is at least one home grown coach on any first team coaching staff in the PL. It may be an assistant first team coach or Head Coach so long as there is at least one.

  9. At the moment in the Premier League A Premier League squad can have up to 25 players, but at least eight of them must be "homegrown" players. That means 17 out of the total of 25 can be foreign players. This can mean that home grown players may never get in the starting eleven.. Having such a low number of home grown players can have a knock on effect for the four home Nations squads regarding ability & availability. I think that home grown players should be at least a minimum of 13 out of the 25. What do my fellow PON members think the right number of home grown players should be in a squad of 25?
  10. Have you got some more from your catalogue @Wheelbarrow repair man?

  13. How about this one? Another corny one. What's the best way to protect your house from bad football? By purchasing a Guard-iola dog.
  14. What do PON members feel about Notts keeping mum regarding the state of the ongoing injuries? Should the club keep the fans in the know or are they right to keep their opponents guessing, which means keeping the fans guessing too? @Wheelbarrow repair man
  15. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. When you are older and wiser (some might disagree with that one) I think that most would say that they should or could have done things differently. I wish I had stayed on at school. I just wanted to leave school & get a job, which I did. I wish I had taken my Motor Cycle test, but I took my driving test & bought a car & sold my motor bike. In those days you could ride a 250cc Bike on a provisional. My Honda CB 250 twin was a pleasure to ride. Cost me £265 with a £230 bank loan over 2 years. In hindsight though I'm pleased I learned to drive because it's so much better being in the dry than getting soaked to the skin in the wet on a bike.

  17. I've seen some Football bloopers in my time but this one takes some beating.
  18. What did the referee say to the South American footballer who lied about deliberately handling the ball at the World Cup? I don’t Bolivia!
