  1. So this week is remberance Sunday, to mark the anniversary of the end of World War One. We wear poppies to mark the occasion and show respect to those who lost their life and those who fought bravely. Sone players have refused to wear a poppy, Matic from United, I’m ashsmed to say, and Stokes james McClean the other. Mclean came under fire from Middlesbrough fans at the weekend for refusal. What’s your thoughts guys and girls on this.?

  5. Tonight @super_ram Frank Lampard and players and fans can hold their head up high. They may be out the Carabao cup but they went out swinging and fighting till the end. Chelsea took the lead through a Derby own goal by one of the Chelsea on loan youngsters of all people. But Derby wouldn’t lie down and went straight down the other end with Cahill slipping Derby took advantage and made it 1-1 through Jack Marriott. But chelsea quickly came up the park and would you believe another cruel own goal by Captain keogh to make It 2-1. Derby again defied the script and scored an equaliser through Waghorn, giving Chelsea a sign of the intent to not lie down …

So those of you who play the prediction league, or who follow me on Twitter may have seen that I was in Bristol over the weekend for the Western league Groundhop. Basically Groundhop UK arrange several such weekends across the UK every season whereby kick off times are staggered to allow those of us who enjoy ticking off new grounds to attend several new grounds over a weekend. This weekend just gone it was the turn of the Western league, which for the benefit of those who don't follow lower league stuff is steps 5 & 6 of the non league pyramid. I thought I'd share a few photos from the 7 (yes seven!) games we attended over the weekend. I'll do each m…

  8. Started by ARLukomski,

So this afternoon/evening I tuned in to watch Halifax vs Chesterfield on BT Sport since Notts didn't have a game. Halifax were winless in 8, Chesterfield winless in 12 before the game. The first half was about as tasteless as shower water and it was a dreadful contest. Not one to please the taste buds. In the second half, a rather amusing moment happened when a Halifax player put a Chesterfield player in a headlock near the corner flag and the referee gave a free kick to Halifax. Also Spireites should have had a penalty when Tom Denton (the human equivalent to the Shanghai Tower) was basically having his shirt ripped off in the box, only for the referee to …

  10. Just recently I’ve been thinking about players and managers.. the one thing I’ve come to is that players have job security in comparison to a coach or a manger. we see it all the time if a team performs poorly it’s the gaffer than suffers by being sacked. where players don’t get sacked maybe released at the end of the season .. but if they perform poor under one manager they get a second chance with the new manager. Am i the only one who thinks this isn’t right and that why should players almost be guaranteed a job and managers are sacked. whats your thoughts guys on this please?

  13. What teams other than Notts County are you looking out for this season? Do you have a secondary team that you like to support, perhaps you follow a former player or manager? I am curious to know if PON members are actively following other teams and why, so drop a comment in this thread.

  14. The curtain raiser of the 2018/2019 season the community shield saw Manchester City beat Chelsea 2-0 in front of a packed wembley house with man of the match Aguero scoring twice to help secure Manchester City 5th community shield on the 13th 58th minute which took him to his 200th goals in a blistering heat 37 degrease. What did everything about the game?

Rumoured to be signing for Lincoln in next few days. Might be a bum steer, but if he goes there, then they are looking a little more solid now! Good signing for whoever gets him. Fee agreed with unnamed club. Just needs personal terms and medical to be completed. Would have been a good one for Notts, but can’t see it with Dennis and Hemmings as well up front.

I recall watching Match of the Day religiously back in 1998 because of Derby County's promotion into the Premier League, @super_ram was probably the most cheerful I've ever known him to be but something has struck me after seeing a video he shared to @Magic magpie on here. It's made me more convinced that the 'Mandela effect' is true! It's either this or Super Ram has invented time travel to fix all these three fixtures, I mean I'd have recalled all these!!! Especially this one! Can anyone else see Super waving to put off Ian Wright? Results and performances like these it makes you wonder why they didn't win t…

The EFL has held its annual general meeting (AGM) today, 8 June. Here is comprehensive update of the issues, off the Sunderland website (kudos to them for putting it all up): The highlights of the 2018 AGM included: MATCH PROGRAMMES A number of Clubs had previously asked the EFL if the mandatory publication of a match programme could be addressed as a result of an overall decline in sales and the proliferation of digital and social media, which has the ability to deliver the same content in a more cost effective manner. Mandatory publication of a programme was required due to a number of the EFL’s partnership, sponsorship and opt-in agreements. EF…
