  1. Max Power is a surprising signing for the Saudi league, but I wish him good luck. He seems to be one of those vibrant players who enjoys changing their hair colour. Perhaps he should concentrate more on his football.
  2. Harrogate Town will do well to retain Luke Armstrong during the next window. While I believe he would be a good League Two player, I think that’s about his limit. I’m surprised that Wrexham are interested in him.
  3. He appears to be a promising player who just needs to find the right loan move. I think it’s unlikely that we will be the ones to provide that opportunity because we don’t have much need for another player.
  4. Notts played in a very organised manner and improved as the game progressed. Salford attempted to make it difficult by defending bravely, but it seemed inevitable that we would score. They had some decent chances, but nothing extraordinary. Notts also had opportunities through Langstaff, Jones, Chicksen and others. Aidan Stone put in a very solid performance.
  5. Both goals were brilliantly executed, particularly Dan Crowley’s effort. Despite appearing to overuse the ball, he still managed to find the net, creating a magical moment as the ball hit the back of the net.
  6. Reflecting on the recent match, it’s evident that our defensive highlights were limited. However, this isn’t necessarily negative, but rather a sign that we need to focus more on our offensive opportunities. We created numerous chances, demonstrating our attacking strength. Yet, it’s vital that we examine these moments to identify how we could have capitalised more effectively. It’s not about dwelling on missed opportunities, but learning and improving. The few misses we had are viewed positively as they indicate our ability to create scoring opportunities, especially in a challenging game. Going forward, our focus should be on converting the chances we create into goals to enhance our performance and team growth.
  7. It’s great to see him relishing his football and tenure at Notts County. The joy of winning matches and delivering top-notch performances is what any footballer aspires for, and I’m convinced that Dan Crowley has been instrumental in our current form. Following the inaugural match, there has been a steady upturn in our performance, and concurrently, Crowley’s individual displays have become increasingly commendable. He’s a delight to watch on the pitch, and it’s astounding how Notts were able to acquire his services this summer.
  8. Connell Rawlinson found himself caught between two hard places and lacked the speed to return to a defensive position. Ideally, someone else would have had the foresight to move forward and attempt to close the gap, allowing Rawlinson to stick with his man. It’s a team error. Indeed, I share your thoughts. It would be quite pleasing to think that we’ve secured a deal to bring him on board. While I don’t doubt that Connell Rawlinson could perform well in certain matches, the addition of a stronger, quicker defender would certainly be welcome.
  9. His departure was necessary due to the dreadful start, and Tranmere shouldn’t be performing this poorly. While I concur that the players also seem to be at fault, just as we did, you have to work with them.
  10. Steven Fletcher should still be capable of performing at the League Two level. Wrexham isn’t lacking in speed, and his experience seems beneficial. While it may not be the best signing, it’s far from the worst. Only time will tell how he fares, but if he aids in their improvement, it will be a worthwhile acquisition for a free agent.
  11. I travelled to Turin for the opening match and spent a few days in Italy. The Juventus fans were wonderful; one of the families I met invited me to join them for a meal at their home the day after the match. It was an impressive feast, featuring all the classic Italian dishes and enjoyed in good company. I never discovered if they were part of the Italian Magpies. As for the match itself, Notts seemed out of sorts for the most part. I concur, Juventus were gracious hosts and didn’t play to their full potential. Otherwise, we wouldn’t have had a chance to score.
  12. It was a moment that beckoned a shot. I overheard a fan pleading for him not to attempt a goal, but they quickly leapt from their seat when it soared into the back of the net. A fantastic strike, we were in dire need of a goal and it certainly elevated the occasion. If only Macaulay Langstaff’s first-half effort or his late header had found the net. It was indeed an entertaining game.
  13. Exeter City 1-1 Leyton Orient Stevenage 2-1 Carlisle United Accrington Stanley 0-3 Mansfield Town Colchester United 1-2 Tranmere Rovers Joker Forest Green Rovers 0-0 Crewe Alexandra AFC Fylde 0-1 Aldershot Bromley 1-0 Maidenhead United Woking 2-2 Solihull Moors
  14. I must give credit to Dan Crowley for recognising the quality of coaching at Notts County. It is reassuring to know that the club is focused on making improvements and striving for success. Crowley has been in excellent form recently and if he continues to work hard, particularly in big games like the upcoming match against MK Dons, he could prove to be a key player in this Notts side. I have been very impressed with his performances so far and look forward to seeing what he can achieve in the future. In my opinion, Dan Crowley is a very good player.
  15. While he may not be on the same level as legends like Maradona and Pele, he is still an exciting player to watch and had a lot of talent. He brought energy and skill to the game and was always a joy to see on the pitch.
  16. It is great news that fans are being encouraged to attend games at the ground rather than watching from home. Experiencing the atmosphere of the KOP and other stands for the first time will be a truly impressive experience, especially during a televised game. There is nothing quite like being part of a live crowd and cheering on your team alongside fellow fans.
  17. The owner of Blackpool is first and foremost a businessman, and as such, he is unlikely to allow the club to become anything that would cause financial struggles. However, I have noticed that he seems to be holding back on his investment this season. Perhaps he is saving money for future improvements or trying to ensure the club’s long-term financial stability. It’s difficult to say for certain, but fans should be mindful of the club’s finances and how they are being managed.
  18. In my opinion, Neal Bishop would be better suited to a coaching role rather than a managerial position. However, I am not an expert on the matter and it is ultimately up to him to decide what role he would excel in. I do believe that if he finds the right role for his skills and abilities, he will do well and I wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
  19. A well-deserved nomination for Luke Williams! It's clear as day that his management style has led the team to experience such a successful run. It's his humble nature that stands out, always crediting the team for their collective efforts. We, as fans, really appreciate that.
  20. Good appointment by York City, I think Neal Ardley enjoys working in the National League. He might prefer bringing a team up to speed, rather than taking charge of a league team that may struggle. You get far less time in the EFL, so working in the National League gives him more room to develop and improve the team. I can see him doing well with York and helping them reach their full potential.
  21. I personally wouldn’t read too much into MK Dons and their injuries. We have to prepare for all scenarios as they may suddenly make a return to action. Defensively, Notts needs to block, tackle and clear the ball away from danger. Careful tackles though, as I imagine they may try to gain free kicks in dangerous positions on the pitch. This is one of the games which I have a lot of cautions about, as I think they are good enough to punish us for making any simple mistakes. If we can be 0-0 at half time or at least not have conceded, I will feel a lot more comfortable. It’s important for Notts to stay focused and not let their guard down.
  22. Luke Williams is right, the travelling fans to the MK Dons game can make a big impact. I sound like a broken record, but it’s the liveliest I have known Notts fans for years. Their energy and enthusiasm are impressive, and I am looking forward to seeing how the club does against them on Saturday. The support from the fans can really boost the morale of the players and give them that extra push to perform at their best.
  23. Adam Chicksen is the player I think should be given the start. He can beat his man and did so several times last season. He tended to get caught out nearer the end when he was running on fuel and needed a break. Yet his commitment was to continue to play, supporting Luke Williams and the team by not requesting a chance to take a breather because he knew we had few options for cover. Williams made that decision, so I hope he makes the right call here.
  24. I am glad the next three games are live. It gives those fans unable to travel a boost and could be a nice thing for our community if we continue to do well. I am sure we will, but those streams will sell like hot cakes if we have the chance of remaining top.
  25. When you have a player like Macaulay Langstaff, it’s an easier decision for the manager. When you see how he performs and gives his all, then in his interview, he speaks of others before his own performance. It’s difficult not to think how lucky we are to have such a striker at the club. He’s been a massive part of taking Notts from being a playoff contender in the National League to promotion and now top of the League Two table. Obviously, it’s down to the team too, but Langstaff firing us forward is a massive benefit. He’s such a threat to the opposition in any game, so it’s pleasing to see him work hard.
