  1. Luke gave a standard “good” interview. It’s good that he knows what to address and isn’t glossing over mistakes. However, I don’t think the situation is as bad as to cause worry. In my opinion, we will be strong come the halfway point of the season.
  2. Without knowing the facts about the jet’s eco-friendliness, I wouldn’t be quick to judge. However, it seems as though the voice of reason has prevailed. I don’t understand why some of our fans on social media are so obsessed with Wrexham.
  3. It’s a very good signing for Stockport County. They are recruiting just as well as us. It’s going to be interesting to see which teams see the payoff from their transfers. There are at least 8 teams that could prove to be dominant in this division, so League Two will be interesting to watch, as will seeing how Jayden Richardson performs.
  4. I think having someone who can play on the left and right of the wingback position would be a good signing. I know his name as I have heard it mentioned before, but I don’t know much about his performances or ability. From what I’ve seen of where he’s played, he looks like he would be a good signing.
  5. You want to make sure they posted them to the right person. Nothing would surprise me with some of the staff at Notts. If you ordered them on Thursday and the shirts don’t arrive by tomorrow, I would call them myself. Being busy isn’t an excuse for poor customer service, but it might be an issue with the delivery company.
  6. It must have been quite serious at the time if they suspected he had fractured a bone. It is good news that this isn’t the case, and hopefully, he will make a speedy recovery. I wish Cal Roberts all the best.
  7. It’s a great deal for fans overseas; the coverage and quality are good too. One of the positive things of the COVID period was the ability to still see streamed games.
  8. Despite the fact that our team seemed to have some trouble fully comprehending the game, there were undoubtedly some moments where we shone. It is our hope that by reflecting on our mistakes and working to improve upon them, we will emerge as a stronger and more cohesive unit when the league begins.
  9. The club is in a very different state compared to when we were relegated. We have much more depth, and anything below mid-table would be what I would consider underachieving. I’m not worried that we’ll be in a relegation fight. The article is a good read and reflects well on Notts.
  10. Just imagine if either Ian Burchnall or Steve Cooper were pulled over for speeding; neither would pass as not being drunk. ???????? The roadside test would be even funnier to watch. I don’t believe Notts received any compensation for his departure; I believe we gave him permission to leave.
  11. I’m interested in the prediction league. I haven’t played for some time, but I will commit to each round.
  12. One issue I have with young talent being snapped up is how often they are forced to play in a certain way, rather than being allowed to develop their potential naturally. It’s a good move for the lad, but Liverpool are developing a reputation for signing young talent and hindering their natural growth.
  13. Good spread by the Non-League paper; they still love us!
  14. It’s going to be the closest insight for us as to how we can compete in League Two; Shrewsbury is a decent team and won’t be that far from our standard. Yes, it’s still down to fitness and settling in, but if we can convincingly win this, then it could be the lift we need going into our season. It ends it off well, doesn’t it?
  15. Yes, Ian Burchnall left Notts in quite a sour way. However, we have moved on and thankfully have a better manager. I didn’t mind Neal Ardley or Ian Burchnall; both made their marks on Notts. I am pleased we no longer have a manager that looks like he’s about to be roadkill. He and Steve Cooper could make a right duo.
  16. What’s not to like about this? He’s a young lad who seems to have the ability and should work hard to get his chance to play. I see nothing to complain about; if we can make use of his ability to play in multiple positions, it will benefit the team.
  17. It’s a great team photo; the kit looks very good.
  18. Good luck, Jack. I hope he manages to find the chance to propel his career back up. It would have been nice to know a Notts lad was once again doing well for Liverpool, but that’s football.
  19. Loan them both out; Notts did right by Tiernan Brooks, and hopefully, these two will follow by joining two decent clubs for their own experience.
  20. It feels like a summer spending spree around here, welcome to you all! Do say hello if you see this.
  21. It sounds like this loan is the start of the young player’s journey into football. Wolves offering him a 5-year deal suggests that they see him as a future prospect. I don’t think they would offer such a lengthy contract to someone they didn’t believe could break into their first team. So, this appears to be quite a coup, even though it’s only a season-long loan. I’m delighted with the addition, as it provides us with some much-needed energy in defence and further cover. I’m very pleased with it!
  22. You can sense McGoldrick's sincere commitment to the team and sport in his comments. His willingness to continuously learn even at this stage of his career is both surprising and admirable. It's not about just the physical work and scoring goals, but also about enhancing the mind and technical abilities. His focus on passing, for instance, will undoubtedly boost the quality of the team's play over the season. It’s the mark of a true pro!
  23. With all due respect to the previous three fan stories, this is by far my favourite because it explains why we have @super_ram on board here, other than him being Chris’s father. I don’t mean this to be taken as if he shouldn’t be here; in fact, I enjoy reading his comments and only wish he would post more at times. It’s not your standard Notts fan story; it’s much more than that, and it’s very nice to read about how he came to like Notts. I always felt we shared a special friendship with Derby, but this goes beyond that too. Thank you for sharing it.
  24. For me, it’s a bit strange. I think Barnsley might be a risky move for any player at the moment. It depends on how the EFL handles their charges, but for a young striker, you want stability and a level of certainty. These are all things that they can’t offer right now, in my opinion.
  25. In my opinion, Cisse is by far the most exciting one out of them all. However, we need to be mindful that they are still learning and improving all the time. We shouldn’t put expectations or pressure on a young player’s career. It’s an interesting debate for sure, but I do want to echo these sentiments.
