5,000th League game
Nearly 5,000 games, eh? I can’t help but wonder how many of those were attended by the late, great Colin Slater. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was at least half of them - though I’m only joking, of course. I bet he knew more about the early days of Notts County than some of the players who donned our shirts! He is sorely missed.

Notts in the Non League paper
The Non-League Paper has provided excellent coverage of Notts County. They have written some fantastic features about the club. I will certainly miss their coverage - it’s one of the best papers you could buy.

The Weekly- 14/5-21/5
## Monday, May 15th Woke up at 7 am, feeling groggy and tired. Had a quick breakfast of toast and coffee, then rushed to catch the bus to work. Spent the whole day in meetings and answering emails, nothing exciting. Came home around 6 pm, ordered pizza and watched some Netflix. Fell asleep on the couch around 10 pm. ## Tuesday, May 16th (Work) ## Wednesday, May 17th (Work) ## Thursday, May 18th Woke up at 8 am, feeling refreshed and energetic. Decided to take a day off from work and go for a hike in the nearby park. Packed some sandwiches and water, and headed out. Enjoyed the fresh air and the scenic views, met some friendly people and cute dogs along the way. Took some photos to remember the hike. Got back home around 4 pm, feeling happy and relaxed. Cooked some pasta and salad for dinner, then read a book before going to bed. ## Friday, May 19th Woke up at 7 am, feeling motivated and ready to work. Had a bowl of cereal and a glass of juice, then got dressed and drove to work. Had a productive day, finished some important tasks and got praised by my boss. Went home around 5 pm, packed my bags and drove to Nottingham with my girlfriend. Checked into a hotel and had dinner at a nice restaurant. Went for a walk around the city center and admired the architecture and the lights. Went back to the hotel and cuddled with my girlfriend. ## Saturday, May 20th Woke up at 9 am, feeling happy and in love. Had breakfast at the hotel and then went to explore the outside of Nottingham Castle. Learned about its history and legends, took some selfies with the statue of Robin Hood. Went to a nearby pub for lunch and had some fish and chips. Spent the afternoon visiting some museums and art galleries, saw some interesting exhibits and paintings. Went back to the hotel for a nap and then got ready for a night out. Went to a comedy club and laughed at some hilarious jokes. Had a drink at a bar but didn't get drunk. ## Sunday, May 21st Woke up at 10 am, feeling relaxed and refreshed. Checked out of the hotel and drove to the Park Area of Nottingham. Walked around the green spaces and looked at the caves that are all barred off but fun to explore still. Imagined what it would be like to live in them or hide in them from enemies. Had a picnic on the grass with my girlfriend and enjoyed the sunshine. Drove back home around 4 pm, feeling satisfied and content. Made some chicken and rice for dinner, then watched a documentary on Netflix. Wrote this diary entry before going to bed.

Finishing position
I think Notts will at least finish in the playoffs. The team has shown incredible skill and determination throughout the season, consistently delivering strong performances on the field. With their talent and dedication, they have what it takes to secure a spot in the playoffs and compete with the best.

Homecoming Hero: Macaulay Langstaff Celebrated in Stockton
He’s incredible! Langstaff’s talent and dedication are truly admirable. He has shown an unwavering commitment to his craft and has consistently delivered top-notch performances. His hard work and determination have paid off in spades, and he continues to amaze us with his incredible talent.

Notts Alumni: Jonathan Forte
Jonathan Forte was a fantastic player with quick feet and great skill. He had an incredible ability to control the ball and navigate through defenders with ease. His agility and speed made him a formidable opponent on the pitch, and he always gave his all for the team. Forte’s technical ability was matched only by his passion for the game, and he always played with heart and determination. He was a true asset to the team and his contributions will never be forgotten.

Any special plans this weekend?
Today, I visited the park area near to the castle where Robin Hood and his merry men used to hang out. Maybe I’ll even find some hidden treasure or a secret passage. I’m currently heading to the oldest pub in England for a pint and a pie. I hope they have some live music or a quiz night. On Sunday, I will be in the city centre and again walking around the outside of Nottingham Castle since its closed. Looking in at what caves I might see from view. They say they are haunted by ghosts and legends. Maybe I’ll meet a friendly spirit or a mysterious stranger. After that, I’ll go to the art gallery and admire some paintings and sculptures. I love seeing the creativity and talent of other people. Maybe I’ll get inspired to make something myself. Then I’ll end the weekend with a relaxing walk by the river. Ahh, bliss!

Will Jodi Jones sign for Notts on a permanent deal?
I think, or at least hope, that Jodi Jones will sign with us. He’s been an outstanding loan signing and fits in well with Luke Williams’ vision for Notts County.
-
Notts County Manager Luke Williams Praises Jodi Jones as Permanent Contract Offered
I really hope Jodi Jones signs permanently for Notts. He’s a class act and a valuable asset to the team.

Notts County’s Unsung Heroes: Players and Staff
Notts County is full of unsung heroes, both on and off the pitch. On the pitch, Connell Rawlinson is a rock at the back, making vital tackles and headers to keep us in the promotion race. Off the pitch, Luke Williams and Ryan Harley are masterminds of tactics and motivation, while Lewis Saleem keeps us looking sharp and fresh in our kits. They all deserve a round of applause and a pint.

How do you cope with the highs and lows of being a Notts County fan?
Being a Notts County fan is a roller coaster ride. We’ve seen it all: glory and pain, trophies and scandals, promotions and relegations. But we never give up on our club. We always support them, with humour and patience, through thick and thin. We celebrate the wins by singing and dancing and cheering. We enjoy every moment of success, because they are rare and precious. We deal with the losses by shrugging and smiling and moving on. We don’t let them ruin our mood or our day, because they are part of the game. That’s how I cope.

What are some of the best books or podcasts that you have read or listened to recently or recommend to others?
The Pride of Nottingham PONcast and The Magpie Circle are the only two podcasts I’ve listened to. I miss them and they were always worth listening to. However, I understand that @Chris doesn’t have time for it with everything else he’s doing.

The Dynamic Role of Matt Palmer in Luke Williams’ Notts County
Matt Palmer’s performance at Wembley against Chesterfield was truly remarkable. He demonstrated exceptional skill and control on the pitch, consistently making the right decisions and executing them flawlessly.

Retained list
I hope all the players who have been offered deals, including Jodi Jones, extend their stay with the club and help us push on in League Two. I’m glad to see that the club is already working on recruitment for next season and I can’t wait to see who we bring in.

Luke Williams on the Beeb
Luke Williams always handles live appearances very well. I thought he spoke eloquently and represented Notts in a friendly and professional manner.

The Conference years
The National League years serve as a reminder that life exists outside of the Football League. However, it also reminds us that we cannot take the club for granted. After the poor seasons we’ve had under other reigns, it’s refreshing to have owners who are moving the club forward.

Message from the Owners
Yes. The Reedtz have published very detailed information quickly. One might have expected this to be shared in a few weeks, but it seems like everyone at the club is ready to go. It’s an excellent way to reach fans after the success we’ve experienced this season.

ARLukomski Captures Notts County’s Triumphant Return to the Football League
I really value the way @ARLukomski incorporated the post-match scenes in his vlog. It demonstrates the significance of the clubs to him and how deeply he is invested in the game. It’s clear that he has a genuine passion for football and it’s great to see that reflected in his content.
-
Sam Pearson, Bristol City potential #Notts signing?
Sam Pearson appears to be an up-and-coming player who seems to fit well with the recruitment policy. At this stage, I have complete confidence in Notts and Luke Williams to sign the right players.
-
Ruben Rodrigues and the Notts lads
Ruben seems to enjoy his drink, but it’s unclear if he can handle it. He may benefit from taking a break from social media and alcohol. I hope that his behaviour remains a concern for Notts and that re-signing him at this stage would be a great move.

Playoffs uncovered - the Wembley Final
The Playoffs Uncovered” is a fantastic video that provides a glimpse into the journey of the players and staff. Jim O’Brien’s speech was particularly inspiring and the overall excitement of the playoffs was palpable.

Well said, @upthepies. I would agree with everything you have said, the Reedtz seem well prepared and our clubs future does look to be promising right now. Long may it continue.
