  1. Good luck, Jimmy Knowles! You’ve been a fantastic player for Notts County and I’m sure you’ll continue to shine wherever you go. Keep pushing yourself and never give up on your dreams!
  2. Brian Kilcline is indeed a true Notts County great, a beacon of greatness that all young defenders aim to emulate. His impact on the club was immense, providing much-needed stability and defensive support throughout his time on the pitch. Brian's sheer passion and love of the game could be seen in every tackle, header, and interception he made. He was the epitome of the solid and dependable centre-back that every club needs. I hope Brian is doing well and enjoying life to the fullest. His contributions to Notts will forever be remembered, and his legacy serves as a reminder of what true greatness in football looks like.
  3. Jake Reeves is undoubtedly a solid player, and he seems to be the perfect fit for Wimbledon's style and tactics. However, as talented as he is, it's hard to compare him to the exceptional skills and prowess of Matt Palmer. Wishing Jake Reeves and Wimbledon nothing but success in their journey together. May their partnership flourish and achieve great heights!
  4. Hello, @BlackandWhitePie. Thanks for joining us, I hope you enjoy PON.
  5. Hello, @Stuart McNeil. Welcome to PON. I'm pleased to be welcoming you to the community.
  6. Hello, @HarryNCFC0. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, I hope you enjoy the site.
  7. Hello, @Zski. Welcome to PON. I hope you join in with us when time allows you.
  8. Yes, at one point, links would automatically embed when you pasted them into the chat. It still works for me, but it’s not as instantaneous as it used to be. Pressing enter usually does the trick, and this includes YouTube videos. It seems that Matlock and Stoke City are the only two teams that have been confirmed so far.
  9. I don’t watch many international football matches anymore. I still tune in for the Euros and the World Cup, but I’ve stopped watching tournaments like the African Nations Cup and the Copa America.
  10. I liked @Super_Danny_Allsopp; he posted some good things and it would be a shame if he left. Personally, I don’t find that PON takes up much of my time, but when I’m busy, I do prioritise other things ahead of it. @Chris, you should do what feels right for you. If people want to contribute and help improve the community, they will. We need to catch some of these new members in our fishing nets and hope they contribute. I must say, I’ve enjoyed seeing @yelobeli and @menzinho contribute. Even the great @Fozzy has been a welcome addition.
  11. This is why Notts fans should stop complaining about the Nottingham Post and simply avoid it until the paper learns from its mistakes. If the Post allowed Ollie to do his job properly, more fans might be inclined to purchase a copy. Newspapers are struggling because they fail to adapt to changing times. They either don’t write stories that appeal to their readers or they treat important news as insignificant. Ollie, on the other hand, has always seemed to do right by Notts fans.
  12. According to reliable sources, he is currently spending time with his family in the north of the country. It is unlikely that he is actively trying to pitch himself to clubs at the moment. Furthermore, it is also unlikely that any clubs are currently in talks with Notts. Not until he returns, the players always have 1 or 2 weeks off.
  13. Did I not mention it before? I spoke to several people close to Ruben, including his cousins, friends, mother and best friend. They all confirmed that he was on holiday in Talacre. This means that he is most likely going to sign for Wrexham. Get your pitchforks ready! But wait a minute... I never used to behave like this. @super_ram He's out of contract, nothing.
  14. Even though Jodi may not use your design, at least you had a good time creating it, @Chris. Keep doing what you love and expressing yourself through your art. I personally think it looks fantastic, but then again, I’m not even capable of drawing with MS Paint!
  15. I try to avoid getting up too early unless I have something to do before work. Otherwise, I steer clear of anything before 7am. I’m like a vampire, but instead of avoiding the sun, I need plenty of sleep and don’t like being woken up too early.
  16. Having 7 substitutes will make life a bit easier for Williams. It will give him more options during games and we may see players rotating between starting and coming on from the bench more frequently. It’s something the National League needs to modernise.
  17. Yes, I recall the username. Given that it’s easy to disappear from the internet, I assumed he had left, perhaps due to Notts’ performance at the time. To discover that he has been deceased all this while is quite distressing. Rest in peace, Pete. Who r ya?? You Pies!! Day.
  18. I’m over the moon that Jodi Jones has signed for Notts County permanently. He’s a fantastic player who can do it all on the wing: dribble, cross, shoot and score. He was a revelation during his loan spell and I’m sure he’ll continue to impress us. He’s a great fit for our club and our culture.
  19. I don’t use social media, Tony. I just read it. I’m not fond of the pond life that enjoys causing trouble. Twitter is full of trolls, including Elon Musk. I’ve gone one step further and followed you on here!
  20. I’m so happy for Jodi Jones. He deserves this opportunity after working hard and proving himself on loan. He’s a young and exciting winger who can create and score goals. He’ll fit in well with our style of play and our ambitions.
  21. It’s not uncommon for fans to use a VPN to get around geographical restrictions and access content that isn’t available in their location. However, I believe that all fans should be treated equally, regardless of where they live. No fan is more important than another just because they live closer to the stadium and can attend matches more frequently. There are many exiled fans on PON and I have nothing but respect for them. It doesn’t make sense to me that the powers that be would impose these restrictions - there’s no substitute for attending a real game in person! Fans who may not be able to attend matches due to distance or cost deserve the same treatment as everyone else. I don’t think it’s fair that overseas supporters’ groups are given VIP treatment just because they choose to fly over for one game.
  22. I must admit, when it comes to potential signings, I’m not the most knowledgeable. I wouldn’t know who to suggest or whether they would fit into our system, but it’s always interesting to hear other people’s thoughts on the matter.
  23. I used to listen to Match Day and I thought it was a great show. David Jackson did an excellent job of bringing the drama and excitement of match day to life. I enjoyed his narration and thought it was well done. In fact, I think you could remove the fan interviews and still come away with the same experience - the show was that good.
  24. For me, it has to be Taylor’s superb strike. I would have voted for John Bostock’s goal, but since it wasn’t listed in the Pride of Nottingham’s selection, I’ll have to go with Taylor’s. It was a fantastic effort and deserves recognition.
  25. While I don’t harbour any ill feelings towards Nottingham Forest, at the end of the day they are still our rivals and I don’t particularly concern myself with their progress. It’s always good to see local teams do well, but my focus remains on my own team.
