  1. It’s so refreshing to have owners like the Reedtz brothers who genuinely care about the club and its success. Their statement is a testament to their leadership and vision for the future of Notts County.
  2. It’s so heartwarming to hear that @KB1862’s children wrote him a note about Notts County getting promoted. It’s always wonderful to see the younger generation getting involved and excited about their local team. What a lovely thing to read
  3. Just to be clear, I’m not being entirely serious here, but if I were in charge of the club, I would definitely out-price teams that are unlikely to offer a decent transfer fee. If Reading wants Macaulay Langstaff, they better be prepared to cough up £30m. I wouldn’t let him go for anything less than £10m, but my price would be even higher just to put them off. Notts needs to offer him an extension halfway through next season, unless someone snaps him up for a silly fee first.
  4. I believe we’re on the rise and will become a solid League Two team. Next season will be revealing - if we start off strong, we might even start dreaming of back-to-back promotions. Whether we can do it beyond League One is another question, but I have a feeling we’re on the brink of happier times.
  5. Well done to the Nottingham Post for featuring our fans in a happier moment in the club’s history. We showed more class than a finishing school when we turned up in strong numbers, sporting Notts shirts from every era!
  6. I know some people say we shouldn’t be too hard on Ross Fitzsimons, but I swear he must have sponges for gloves. He usually starts off looking like a decent keeper, but then he starts making more errors than a drunk trying to solve a Rubik’s cube. I think he has issues with confidence and concentration. Chesterfield would have won if it wasn’t for him. I bet their fans are glad he’s gone. I wonder if they were even considering renewing his contract? I can’t see any reason why they would unless they enjoy losing.
  7. This article really captures the excitement and joy of Notts County’s promotion back to the Football League. It’s great to see the team and fans celebrating together.
  8. Hopefully, Macaulay Langstaff will give Notts a chance. Clubs should still be interested in him and testing himself in League Two could be a smart move in the long run. So many footballers just move for the sake of it, but when you find a team like Notts, settling down for at least a season or two is a wise decision. But then again, I might be a little biased.
  9. Aarone Nemane definitely deserves a round of applause for his performance at Wembley. He’s taken Cal Roberts’ spot in the squad and run with it - literally! When he gets going, teams find it hard to keep up with him. I don’t even mind when he tries things and loses the ball - as long as he tries to win it back. After all, you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take!
  10. Stall and Slater could be the next big sitcom - I might pitch it to Gold, the BBC, and ITV. Can anyone else picture it? Watching their celebrations is like watching a new trend unfold before our eyes. The audio is music to my ears and the visuals are just as great.
  11. The Bostock penalty wasn’t terrible, he just overhit the ball, but it was a superb technique. I thought it was going in until it hit the crossbar and bounced away. Did anyone else see it in slow motion?
  12. The tale of two keepers at Wembley was a genius idea by Luke Williams. If it hadn’t paid off, I believe most fans would agree that it made sense to bring on Archie Mair given his previous saves for Notts from the spot.
  13. Chesterfield will be gutted - they won’t be happy about losing the game. Anything like this is just PR management by their media team.
  14. It takes a great deal of bravery to return, admit your mistakes and offer an apology. I may not be fully aware of the situation, but I recall you, @Fan of Big Tone. You always seemed to be someone who was deeply passionate about Notts and the Pride of Nottingham. Your opinions were a pleasure to read and judging by the response, you are being welcomed back with open arms! Please don't hesitate to engage in discussions on the site. Welcome back!
  15. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Bee We're glad to have you join our community. We hope you enjoy your time here and look forward to getting to know you better.
  16. It may not have been the ideal performance, but what counts is the win! Securing it through penalties made it even more special, despite the added tension. What a fantastic trip to London! The reactions of the players were brilliant.
  17. Fantastic photographs, Chris. There are some truly superb shots in the collection!
  18. I wonder how Luke Williams can resolve the nerves in defence because it hinders the ability to go forward. The deep line becomes a nightmare when teams rush out and put more energy into their play. Chesterfield came out wanting it more and played like they had a point to make. The referee made some questionable decisions, but I think he got the penalty decision correct. Unfortunately for Sam Slocombe, he caused two issues at the very start. He looked nervous and if he remains at the club, this defensive issue needs to be worked on. Good teams will find it easy to exploit this weakness, as Wrexham, Boreham Wood and Chesterfield all did. I thought Aaron Nemane was class, but other players like Adam Chicksen and Sam Austin were average. They didn’t contribute much to the game and I think Luke Williams made the right call by bringing Jodi Jones on quicker than normal because he helped change the outcome. Ruben Rodrigues wasn’t very bright but scored well. Macaulay Langstaff had chances but we didn’t bring him into the game. Cedwyn Scott helped in this regard. People praise John Bostock who was solid going forward but clumsy in key areas defensively. His goal was a redeeming stunner and I won’t dwell too much on the penalty.
  19. There are rumours that Jim O’Brien will be appointed as a coach at Sheffield United. I think it would be wise to keep Connell Rawlinson for another season as he could be useful as a backup defender. It would be good to have a better pairing at the back, but then we would need to find more playing time for Richard Brindley. I prefer him playing out wide, so maybe we could try him as an alternative right wing-back?
  20. Poor Christoffer Reedtz. Notts is really taking its toll on the poor chap. His Danish blonde locks are turning deep brown and his hairline seems to be receding faster than Chesterfield’s penalty takers’ hopes. At this rate, he’ll be balder than a coot before the season’s out!
  21. Ryan Reynolds can have the keys to Meadow Lane. He’ll find them more useful than the ones he and Rob McElhenney were given by Wrexham. He’s a class act who’s shown that football is more than just rivalry. Each comment oozes class. I can’t wait to take six points off his Wrexham next season. Good luck to him and his team, just not against us. After all, we don’t want Deadpool to have all the fun on the pitch!
  22. It could very well be one of the most viewed videos among Notts fans. The story it tells is brilliant and the win was such a crucial one. When Jodi Jones arrived, he mentioned how he wanted to find happiness, as he hadn't been playing much and was eager to get match fit. Now, just look at the difference he's making to our squad! Every time I watch his goal, I can't help but hear Rubeus Hagrid's voice in my head saying "You're a wizard, Jodi!" ????
  23. A big round of applause for you @Piethagoram! You’re always there to provide us PON members with some top-notch discussions. You truly deserve this recognition. And don’t forget to dress to impress for the pitch-side presentation and award ceremony at Wembley tomorrow. We wouldn’t want you to show up in your pajamas now, would we?
  24. I’ll be in block 104 tomorrow and I can’t wait to see Wembley in all its glory. It always looks amazing on TV, but I bet it’s even more magical in person. What a season we’ve had and now we get this final treat! Safe travels to all of you making the journey. And don’t forget your lucky socks!
  25. I’d actually be quite happy to see Curtis Thompson back at Meadow Lane. He’s still got a lot to offer and has a great attacking engine. Sure, it might raise some questions about where he’d fit in the squad, but I seem to recall him being shoved into defense and doing a pretty good job. Versatile players like him are worth their weight in gold when it comes to squad depth.
