  1. Good luck and best wishes to Joel Taylor. It’s a shame we didn’t have enough game time for him, but he should be a big player for Chester.
  2. I remember about having read this story and it sounding like there wasn't much to the claims against Paddy McCourt, I haven't kept up with the story but express that if he did it, he's let many people down and deserves to jailed.
  3. Macaulay Langstaff has deserved every bit of success and accolades. His achievements last season is not only historic but poetry in motion has witnessed his success.
  4. There are several reasons why fans should be excited about the pre-season friendly against Nottingham Forest. For starters, it’s a great opportunity to see how the team is shaping up ahead of the new season. Plus, if we manage to win, it gives us some bragging rights over our local rivals. And even if we lose, it’s only a pre-season friendly and we’re currently playing in the fourth tier of English football.
  5. To be honest, I’m not overly excited about the pre-season friendly against Alfreton. I mean, it’s always good to see the team play, but I feel like we could have arranged a more challenging opponent. Still, I’ll be there to support the boys and hopefully we’ll see some promising performances.
  6. I am thankful that Sam has decided to stay with us. In my opinion, he is one of the best goalkeepers in the league and has consistently demonstrated his skill on the pitch. Not only is he an exceptional player, but he is also a fantastic mentor for the younger members of the team and a true professional in every sense of the word. I have high hopes that he will be able to help us regain our rightful place in the league.
  7. Hello, @McSwegansRightPeg. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, the forum and site is a great place to add your thoughts on our club.
  8. This is fantastic news for everyone involved with Notts County. Sam Slocombe is a class act and a vital part of our team. He’s not only a superb keeper, but also a great character and a role model for the youngsters. He’s shown his commitment to the club by signing a new deal and I’m over the moon that he’s staying with us.
  9. It is fantastic news indeed that Connell has been given this opportunity. Not only is he a superb player on the field, but he is also a superb person off the field. He has been an integral part of both our squad and our community, consistently showing his appreciation and devotion to Notts. Connell truly deserves this chance to showcase his abilities and leadership skills. I have no doubt that he will guide us to triumph in the upcoming season.
  10. I don’t mean to suggest that the owners must spend money, but I do want to emphasise that this season is a crucial time when such an investment could make the difference between achieving promotion or remaining in the playoffs/mid-table.
  11. It seems like a great show. The idea of Peaky Blinders meeting Robin Hood made me laugh. If it can attract the necessary ratings, it could become a successful series.
  12. Interesting historical tidbit about Nottingham’s history, @Piethagoram.
  13. In comparison to this, the London riots seem rather mild and unimpressive. Information about the event can be found within the Galleries of Justice and Nottingham Castle.
  14. Delighted for Connell, he’s been brilliant for us since he joined. He’s one of our own now and I’m sure he’ll give his all to get us to League One. He’s got the passion and the quality that we need. Well done Rawlinson!
  15. Welcome, @two for joy. It's good to see you have joined PON. Remember, it's one for sorrow, two for joy, three for a post, four your on a roll, 5 your a diamond, 6 you're gold. 7 is everlasting, you cannot fold.
  16. Yes, I think there are a lot of places that spread and share false information. It’s not useful or entertaining. Discussing rumours can be interesting on a site like PON, but as I say, the sources of these tend to be vague. I don’t think many of the remaining players will leave; the biggest concern is Ruben Rodrigues and I hope he would give us at least one more year to see.
  17. Ricardo Moniz should consider becoming a director of sport for a football team. His influence and knowledge could keep him employed longer. He’s a good manager, just affected by this strange habit of being sacked.
  18. I’m pleased that Connell Rawlinson has agreed to a new deal. Signing for 2 years shows commitment from both the club and player. Rawlinson has a role within the club and can return to his best with support.
  19. Hello, @Magpie Bill. Welcome to PON, happy to see another new member join us, I hope you find the time to share your views with us.
  20. Great username, @LesBradd4England. Welcome to PON! I hope you find the site fun, engaging and a good place to discuss Notts.
  21. Well done to Sheffield Wednesday and Josh Windass; the better team won in the end. I wish the Owls well in the Championship. Your well-wishes paid off, @nightOWL; I’m pleased you’ve gone up.
  22. Welcome back, @Nocturnal-Magpie. You won’t need to do much to fit right back in. If you become busy, we’ll await your return. Don’t worry about how often you can get on, as long as you can.
  23. Indeed, enticing players to swap their current locales for our quaint little town is akin to convincing a chocoholic to swap their Dairy Milk for rice cakes. hey, who knows?
  24. The club seems to have become a reflection of everything that's wrong with modern football. With their wealthy owners and overly inflated squad, they've become synonymous with the concept of 'primadonna' football. In recent years, it seems that success can only be bought, rather than earned. This has led to a lack of effort and passion from players, who know that they can rely on their club's wealth to get by. To me, this goes against everything that football is supposed to represent. The sport should be about perseverance, teamwork, and hard work, rather than just throwing money around. I hope that more football clubs will start to value these core principles over spending large sums of money on marquee players. It's time for a return to more authentic football values.
  25. Wishing you all the best, Greg Tempest! You’ve shown great talent and determination on the pitch, and I have no doubt that you’ll continue to excel in your future endeavours. Keep up the hard work!
