  1. I will believe it when I see it, this rumour solely came about due to David’s appearance on Notts TV’s Team Talk. I think we have more chance of signing Charlie McParland!
  2. Rumours can be interesting but the way the Nottingham Forest Post has gone and how quiet BBC Radio Nottingham is out of season, we have to contend with these sites which compete for clicks.
  3. Interesting list of potential players, Jack Armer if tempted away from Carlisle would be a solid signing. I do agree that having a CB that can cover for Adam Chicksen would help the squad overall. Some of the majority of the players I don’t know much about.
  4. I have nothing but admiration and gratitude for everyone who contributes to the site, from the volunteer team members and writers, to @Chris who works tirelessly and passionately to make the site the best it can be. He deserves more recognition and appreciation from most fans, who may not realise how much effort and dedication he puts into the site.
  5. Kane Hemmings and Kristian Dennis were both misused by playing them out of their natural positions. Jon Stead was too old to be the main striker that season, he would have been more effective as a backup option or a substitute. He could have played a similar role to Jodi Jones last season, who was a great impact player off the bench. I don’t see why Hemmings and Dennis can’t form a successful partnership for Tranmere Rovers, if they are given the chance to play together up front.
  6. Hello, @Stuart jackson. Welcome to PON, its good to be welcoming you to the community. why not introduce yourself to us?
  7. Wishing Tiernan Brooks, all the best on his selection for the Ireland U21 squad. He has been a fantastic goalkeeper for our club and we are proud of his achievements. I wish him all the best as he represents his country on the international stage. Go Tiernan!
  8. Fantastic achievement for Tiernan Brooks to be called up to the Ireland U21 squad!
  9. No thanks, we don’t need another old and slow striker. McGoldrick is past his prime and he would only take up a valuable spot in the team. We should focus on developing our young talents and bringing in players who can improve our chances of promotion. McGoldrick can retire somewhere else, he has nothing to offer us anymore.
  10. It's quite remarkable that Luton Town's journey from the Non League has been overshadowed by another impressive feat - the fact that Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu has shared the journey too. It's not often we see Non League players make it all the way to the top, as most end up being released in League One or the Championship. This is definitely a rare accomplishment and deserves recognition. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65695212
  11. The news of any team folding always bears the weight of disappointment, but it's understandable that the impact is less severe when it's a team from an obscure country. That being said, every team out there represents a group of players and fans who have invested their time and energy into supporting the sport they love, and their loss should not be dismissed. It's a reminder of the significance of sports and the impact they have across the globe.
  12. It is rather interesting to observe the complex nature of public figures like Phillip Schofield. While his decision to come out on This Morning was a personal one, it's understandable that some could view this as a potential diversion. It is essential to approach such topics with open-mindedness and critically evaluate all aspects before forming judgments. Moreover, it appears that there might be certain elements of Phillip's personality and actions that are not immediately visible to the public eye. It is not uncommon for individuals to have multifaceted characters. As for Holly's interaction with Phillip, it could be mere speculation to assume her intentions without any concrete evidence. Having said that, discussing such matters with diplomacy and respect for all parties involved is crucial. After all, we can never fully grasp the entirety of someone's life through the lens of media portrayal.
  13. Hello, @Ohh Tommy Johnson. I am delighted to be welcoming you to the Pride of Nottingham.
  14. Welcome, to PON @Lydia. I am glad to be welcoming you to the community.
  15. No, I doubt I will check much if at all. I will be solely focusing on the Football League from here on.
  16. Newport was linked to him when he was here, if I believe correct. They must either be desperate to have someone fire in goals or have a wish to put more stress on their own defence.
  17. My week was largely uneventful, with working and general life being the main thing. I didn’t even get up to much this weekend, it’s just been very quiet.
  18. I'm glad that Ed Francis has found a club like Gateshead to restart his journey. He could make a significant impact for them, and I wish him all the best.
  19. Kwame Thomas never looked good and should not have made many appearances. His pace got him on the pitch but he showed no signs of quality on goal.
  20. I am happy with the signing of Will Randall. He sounds like a good lad and seems to have his head screwed on. With his talk of working with Luke Williams and coming here because of the project, it all sounds very promising.
  21. @Chris did an amazing job with this interview. @Fan of Big Tone’s story is so touching and it was captured perfectly in this article. The way he describes his experiences and memories is so vivid and it really brings the reader into his world. Well done, to you both!
  22. Welcome to the club, Will! You’re joining a great team with a great history and a great fanbase. I’m looking forward to seeing you in action at Meadow Lane. You have my full support!
  23. Supporting a smaller club outside of the top two tiers can be more exciting than simply supporting a team because they win things. No one team stays at the top forever and you’ll end up supporting many teams over the years. It’s like Notts and Forest fans who claim to support Manchester United for legitimate reasons when in reality they only support them because they’ve won things.
  24. Forest Green Rovers’ promotion to League One followed by a single-season stay is a valuable lesson for us. It’s crucial to establish ourselves and build on our success to ensure sustained progress. Thank you, Simon Clark, for highlighting the resilience and spirit shown by these teams in their playoff journeys. It’s motivating to see their determination pay off, and it gives us hope for our own club.
  25. Good signing. I thought he looked capable at Notts, but as his time at the club progressed, his form dipped.
