Williams is not too concerned regarding Nemane
Williams is doing the right thing: focusing on what matters and seeing how things go. I am impressed with the recruitment, and if Aaron Nemane doesn’t extend his stay, I believe we have players who can come in and do just as well. I think most fans will want him to stay, but a decision needs to be made that benefits both parties. I hope it’s not an effort to get more money from the teams who have offered deals.

5,000 season tickets
When did we last achieve 5,000-odd season ticket sales—2012? It’s been a while. I think the club has done well to sell so many; some might think we should be selling a lot more at this point, but there’s still time. If I were the club, I would just extend the cheaper tickets until the final few pre-season games.

Matty Palmer the beating heart of Notts County
This speaks volumes about Matt Palmer; he doesn’t put a foot wrong most of the time, and it sometimes looks as if he glides around the pitch even when he doesn’t have the ball. While he’s got average pace, his passing and skill make it hard for other clubs to get a foothold in the game. He works tirelessly; I do agree.

Goalkeeper is latest signing
It’s a valid point, but I believe fans were hoping for a more settled keeper. One who comes in after helping a team gain promotion, only to be let go due to poor form, doesn’t instill the same confidence as the other signings have done. It’s natural, but fans need to give Stone a chance and support him.

Welcome NottsCountyKev
It's always good to see a new member, especially one that joins in and shares a bit about themselves. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @NottsCountyKev,

Neal Ardley leaves Solihull Moors
Best wishes to Neal Ardley, who had a challenging task at Notts. While some fans criticize him for setting up his teams to draw, as long as he achieves success, it shouldn’t matter. He did well for both Notts and Solihull Moors.

Lost Shops of the Past
Woolworths has made a comeback in WH Smiths, but other stores such as Partners and Staples seem to have disappeared. Brantano has closed its physical stores to operate solely online. Most Disney stores have also gone, along with Wimpies and Broadmarsh itself. Many things have vanished and will eventually be forgotten. Some of this is due to the rise of online shopping, but high retail ground rates can also be a contributing factor. Other stores that have disappeared include Blockbuster, HMV, Virgin Superstore and Fopp.

Pre-release Discussion: Notts County's 2023/24 League Two Home and Away Kit
When it comes to the Notts home kit, I would like to see more traditional and broader stripes. This would create a classic and timeless look that fans could be proud to wear in the stands once again. Broader stripes would also help to make the kit more visually striking and memorable. By embracing our traditional colours and incorporating them into a more traditional design, we could create a home kit that truly represents our team and its history.

Do You Have a Favourite Seat?
Yes, I have a seat that no one else sits in and it’s positioned close to the TV in the living room. Not that I need to see it close up, it’s just the best position for it.

Holidays
I am planning to go to Scotland for a few days, to the Highlands and then at some point I will go to Portugal for my actual holiday. I like the warmth of Portugal; the sea is lovely and the food is to die for.

TV horror/sci-fi series 'From'
I haven’t seen this yet, but I will give it a watch. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Lost. It was okay to begin with but then became unbearable with each plot twist. The story progression for each character started getting muddled up too.

Weekend plans 23rd-25th June
Today I don’t have much to report, but tomorrow I will be driving to Durham to see some friends and catch up over a few drinks. The weather has been hot today, so I am hoping tomorrow has a bit of a breeze.

Goalkeeper is latest signing
It’s always exciting to see new signings, especially in the goalkeeper position. It’s a crucial role that can impact the outcome of matches, so I hope Stone proves to be a valuable addition. Sometimes, keepers need a fresh change in order to bring out their best. He’s young enough to learn and having been a defender previously, it should make him more aware.

Dan Crowley: Notts County’s Achievements and Style of Play a Winning Combination
@CliftonMagpie I agree, it's always nice to see a player who genuinely wants to be at a club. And it sounds like Crowley was really impressed by the gaffer and how he wants to play football. That bodes well for the team.

Notts County’s Next Signings: What Position Should They Be?
I think it’s apparent that a centre back is needed; a good defender with pace would fit in nicely with Aden Baldwin and Kyle Cameron. If the defender had height and took no nonsense, even better. Will Randall may be considered for the role; Tobi Adebayo-Rowling needs to have some luck and put in much better performances. A young left-sided wing-back/winger could be a good call; Forest may have one that suits well.

Has Notts forgotten about Junior Morias?
I think the real issue is that we don't have a clear position for Morias. He's versatile, but it does feel like Langstaff and Scott are ahead of him in the pecking order. Time will tell.

Notts County’s Permanent Signings: Who’s Your Favourite?
I voted with my heart and head, so it has to be Jodi Jones. He has the ability to be the best player in our team; if he can get that grip on games where he starts to grow in confidence, he will be even more exciting. He’s my favourite signing, but I have nothing against any of the others.

Carabao Cup 1st round fixture announced
It’s a very juicy draw in my eyes; one which our squad should be looking forward to playing. Usually we end up with a basic first game, so to get Lincoln is very nice. I hope we can beat them to go forward.

Fixture list announced
Sutton away isn’t a bad start to the season; it will be good for Will Randall to get this one out of the way early on. I have confidence that we can get off to a bright start.

Dan Crowley signs
A big welcome to Dan Crowley! He seems like the ideal player to bolster our squad and elevate our performance. I’m excited to see what he brings to the table this season! I also agree that he looks like a very capable replacement for Ruben Rodrigues and may show fans that we can finally replace lost gems well.

Darren Moore and Gary O'neil - Sacked.
In my opinion, clubs should show more loyalty to their managers, especially those who have proven themselves capable of achieving success. It’s a shame when good coaches are let go for questionable reasons. Neither sacking makes sense to me, and I feel it just makes football look bad. Bournemouth have a reputation for being ruthless at times, and it’s a sign of their desperation to keep up with the big boys.

Belated promotion celebrations “not feasible”
The council's lack of enthusiasm about Notts County's promotion was disheartening, but I believe we should look forward and hope for positive change for future achievements.

Dan Crowley: The Journey of an Individual Player - ‘I’m My Own Player'
I believe that Crowley will be an excellent addition to Notts County's attacking midfield. With his wealth of experience and distinctive playing style, he has the potential to make a significant impact on the team. His unique approach to the game could bring a fresh dynamic to the squad and help them achieve even greater success.

Weekend plans 16-18th June
With the thunder and lightning and Sunday’s rain, the weekend was very straightforward. There were plenty of good films on TV that mostly got me through the weekend.
