  1. Brilliant news, Connell is a top player and a top bloke. He’s been a vital part of our team and our club. He’s shown his respect and his gratitude to Notts and he deserves this opportunity. He’s got the skill and the personality to inspire us to success next season.
  2. If there are quotes from managers, players, agents etc., then I’m inclined to pay more attention to rumours. But my rule of thumb is that everyone fights for clicks/reads at this stage and when this occurs, people are likely to bend the truth. I take what most of these sites say or report with a pinch of salt, as I have zero confidence or faith that what is being said is or will be true.
  3. It’s a brilliant letter and should be placed in the Football museum in Manchester. That’s how important I feel it is. Yes, sometimes people write things to get noticed, but this came across as genuine and the fact it was shared by Accrington Stanley’s chairman says it all.
  4. Josh Windass is a good player. He did well to win the game for Sheffield Wednesday. The owls showed a lot of fight and determination. I’m pleased for you, @nightOWL.
  5. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @HarryNCFC0. I hope you join in when you can.
  6. Welcome back to PON, you won't need to spend much time catching up @Nocturnal-Magpie.
  7. Members come and go, but having a core group of established members who treat everyone as equals is what really makes a community strong. It's one of the reasons I love being a part of PON - there's no hierarchy, and everyone is valued equally. While it's always exciting to see new members join, it's also important to remember that old members may not always be around. However, we shouldn't dwell on their absence and instead focus on making the most of the time we have with our current members. But, we can always hope for the return of old members and welcome new ones with open arms. As long as we continue to prioritise inclusivity and respect within our community, there's no doubt that PON will continue to grow and thrive.
  8. I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of warmth and sunshine for quite some time now. Unfortunately, living in the UK means that we only get one or two summery days, and that's it. This is why I always choose to go on holiday to warmer places. It seems like England is becoming just as bad as Scotland for the persistent rain and unpredictable weather. Here's to hoping for an extended spell of sunshine this summer!
  9. I would have loved to see Notts County take a chance on Jimmy Knowles during our National League run. It's essential to find a young and promising striker who can learn from our current players and play a rotational role when required. Good luck to Jimmy Knowles, and let's hope we can nurture and develop young talents like him at the club for future success.

It's great to see Notts County back in the football league where they belong. The added financial stability that comes with being back at this level is crucial for the club's future success. Hopefully, the club can use this additional resource to sign a few crucial players who can help bring the team to new heights. Exciting times ahead for the Magpies!
  11. Pre-season is looking good. I hope we play a National League team like Chesterfield or Solihull Moors away from home. The final home game to be announced will hopefully be a good one and get fans into the seats ahead of the new season.
  12. It looks good, @Chris. Excellent job with the cover image.
  13. I feel sorry for Ollie King. He has worked hard and deserved a bit of a break. The content rolled out by him was of a good standard and more frequent, I felt. It’s a shame to see him go. He will probably be replaced by someone straight out of Uni. Whoever it is, I hope they bridge with fans.
  14. Joel Taylor’s strike was an absolute belter, but for consistency purposes, I have to stick with John Bostock’s free kick against Wrexham. It was a moment of pure magic and one that will live long in the memory of all who witnessed it.
  15. While I may not necessarily wish Nottingham Forest well, I don’t see any harm in getting along with their fans. Over the years, many Forest supporters have acted as though we don’t matter, but we do. Football is about passion and rivalry, but it’s also about respect and sportsmanship.
  16. With the 5,000th game almost around the corner, perhaps promotion was written in the stars? It’s a very Notts thing to happen and the club should definitely celebrate it!
  17. I suspect that this is Frank Vincent, with his recent release.
  18. Notts has what it takes to make it to the playoffs. With their talent and determination, they have a real chance of securing a spot in the top seven. The team has consistently delivered strong performances on the field, showing that they can compete with the best and have what it takes to make it to the playoffs.
  19. Langstaff’s talent and hard work have paid off in spades. He has shown incredible skill and dedication on the field, consistently delivering top-notch performances. His success is a testament to his commitment to his craft and his determination to succeed. It’s clear that all the hard work he has put in has truly paid off.
  20. It’s a positive message from the owners, presented in a way that keeps us informed about what’s happening. It’s also nice to see them giving credit to everyone for the amazing season. I hope one of them will provide updates like Jason Turner did, unless they hire a new CEO. I feel it would be beneficial for them to be a bit more involved.
  21. Chaps, if you have any concerns, please speak to the team or Chris. Don’t let trivial remarks discourage you from posting. If a situation becomes heated, take a step back and when you return, hopefully leave it behind. It’s good to see that both of you are back.
  22. Securing Jodi Jones on a permanent basis would provide a significant boost for Notts. Jones has demonstrated his value to the team with his impressive performances on the pitch. His skill and ability have made a substantial impact for Notts and retaining him would be a major coup for the club. Jones has shown that he can make a real difference for Notts and it would be fantastic if he were to sign a permanent contract with the club. His presence on the pitch has been invaluable and securing him for the long term would provide a solid foundation for the team to build upon.
  23. If there was serious interest in Macaulay Langstaff, I imagine the Nottingham Post would have reported on it. It’s more likely that clubs are scouting him and considering making an offer. Once one bid comes in, it could trigger a bidding war. Wouldn’t that be great?
  24. Jodi Jones has shown time and time again that he’s a class act on the pitch. His directness and skill make him a real asset to any team, and in the right setup he could be the key to promotion. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that he stays at Notts.
  25. Unfortunately, I don’t find the show worth my time to watch. It’s great to have a Nottingham TV channel, but the potential gets lost and Team Talk is such a boring show.
